Elle a change les paroles. C'est normalement un homme qui chante. Et puis, je n'aime pas quand on remue le nez pendant qu'on chante ou qu'on parle. She changed the lyrics from a "her" to a "him" of course, since she is a woman. But by doing so, she has removed the initial meaning of the song. The song was supposed to be a soldier, dying, telling a comrad what to do if he would go to Scarborough Fair. Then he would have to find his girlfriend and tell her to do impossible tasks. Impossible because he is dying. And the song must be sung by at least 2 people because it contains words that are sang while one is singing parsley sage rosemary and thyme. The lyrics that are said in aparte are sad and tell us about the horror of war. So, Nolwen has literally severed the song from its true meaning. You should listen to it sung by Simon and Garfunkel. As for Iran, Persia, you have one of the richest countries in the world as for its history. So rich that it is almost beyond imagination. I like it that you respect the tomb of Cyrus II the great. I only wish you would bring help to your neighbor, Pakistan. God bless you.

Iran has got one of the most brilliant and rich civilizations and cultures through the whole History, with more than 7000 years of civilization which is quite rare in the History of human civilization. and we have the great king Sirus who is the founder of Human Rights at 2500 years ago. But French music is something else. I knowledge that we ( persians ) have many talented singers and the Persian music is as rich and valuable as Persian history. But the songs of singers like: Mylene Farmer and Nolwenn Leroy and Najoua Belyzel are in my opinion way more beautiful than Persian music. The three Ethinity of: Persian and Frank ( French ) and Anglosaxon ( British ) are the world's most talented ethnicities in case of art. But I have to admit that among these 3 ethnicities, the Frank ( French ) is the most talented one in art of music. And I have found that the German ethinity has people with the highest IQ in the world. and ours ( Persian ) maybe is the most noble and righteous one according to the historical facts. But I believe that the best Ethinity and person is the one who has got the most resistance for the temptations of Satan. Pakistan is our neighbor and brother country and we ( all the humanity ) belong to God and are brothers and sisters of each other. Even if we don't know who God is and believe in Him

Just had a let down in regards to the story behind the song. Seems it is based on an English folk tale about a military man. S & G' s version left out every other line of the original tale. I have always felt the song should never be covered by a female singer as the lead, and now I find it originally a song connected to war. Other then that I find Nolwenn's cover one of the best.
