Love the Halloween-season-with-a-twist theme of the palette. After the very overtly spooky, gothic Haunted Europe palette and the more general autumnal vibes of last year's Hudson Valley palette, I was really interested to see what approach Nomad would take to this year's fall palette. Using ghost towns as the theme is so clever, and something only Nomad would do. I usually wait until Black Friday to do my Nomad hauls, but this is one palette I may have to grab before then...

This palette is based on the now closed Ghost Town theme park in Maggie Valley, NC. It was wonderful when it was new in the sixties (showing my age now 😉 ) . There were gunfights in the street every hour, saloons, rides, and a fabulous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the incline railway up to the Ghost Town. Brings back so many wonderful memories. Wish it was still open. 😕

These colors are great! From the palette art and the names of the shades, I think the "ghost towns" Nomad is referring to are abandoned or deserted towns that were once gold or silver mines in the western US. Some are now historical sites that can be toured and have re-enactments or fairs/festivals. I live a couple hours from Calico, CA, and it's pretty neat. There are buildings and relics in them still standing and if you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle you can drive down into the mine shafts and explore. 👻🤠👢💛✨💰

This is the first palette this year that looks good to me, maybe even perfect? After finally figuring out what colors work for me, I have been searching for a cool-toned, muted palette that is neutral-adjacent but not boring. And has cool-toned greens. This might be the one, I'm so excited! Definitely getting this, I already have Haunted Europe and I love it. Oh and amazing looks as always! 👻

It’s really such a useable palette. Not at all like a ‘spooky’ palette you see from other brands. You can do lovely light but dramatic looks. My first Nomad buy!

Look 1 was one of my favorite looks you'll EVER done! I think this theme of this palette is great: it's spooky but not scary, slightly historical and interesting but still a little unrealistic. The color story is pretty but reminds me a lot of the two newest Oden's Eye palettes (Gem/Rock) + the Whistler Snow Lodge palette. It's not special enough for me given what I already own, but I do like it!

LOVE that second look! Looks so good with the red streak in your bun, very retro cyberpunk. This palette looks so fun and I love the theme! I grew up in a ghost town, but it looked more like post-apocalyptic than wild west lol. I went back to my old (now abandoned) school, and it is so spooky and being reclaimed by nature 👻🏚🚧🕸🌱

My youngest son is named after the Ghost Town outside Dillon Montana. Bannack. It’s beautiful and it’s one of our favorite places.

I grew up in So Cal. My family went camping every summer for 3 weeks. I’ve been to a handful of old ghost towns up and down California. But our favorite was always ’Bodie’. I think we went there at least 3 times back in the 60s. Love that place. A must is walking around their real “Boot Hill” cemetery. So freaking cool 😎.

I'm California born and raised and there's a section in the city of Wilmington its the east side of town and there's a section known as ghost town, it's in LA county in the harbor area very close to the water. That's my version of ghost town. 🎭

Hi, Betty Jean! I vote for the first look as my favorite, but they're both fab as usual. Thanks so much for your content. I really love your channel! Also, I'm familiar with the Invisalign pain as I just got done with an 18-month stint earlier this year. I still have to wear a retainer on top at night and have a permanent retainer on the bottom, but at least I don't have to deal with them during the day and when eating. If people haven't already told you, the pain does subside as you go along and the thing that helped me the most was chewies. If the ortho didn't give you any of those, I highly recommend buying them as they really do help get the aligners on well and can provide some soothing relief. Also, do you have one of those aligner removal tools? Until you get the knack of getting them out with your hands, the aligner tool really does help. Hope you're having a great weekend

@@battybean my husband was working on a film crew working at night at the prison so my son and I went out to watch. We were wandering around and ended up in an unlit, still, warm area, and both of us felt it at the same time. A quick cold breeze. Then again. We booked out of there. We learned after the fact that we were in the solitary confinement area. A hot spot for encounters.
