Thanks for the video. I'd seen some videos of people using the face groups, but then when I tried to do something useful, the tool absolutely wouldn't do anything for me. But I actually sat down with my iPad and followed along with your two videos about face groups, and I think I've got it. Anybody out there who is struggling with this feature, I recommend you do the same. Don't just watch the video. Get out your iPad and follow along.

Ooh! This is awesome! I am using your sweet tutorials to do a FF IX airship with a ton of annoying details. I would carve and use tubes, but I always end up hating the effect when I remesh or sculpt. I get frustrated with the hit or miss selections using the mask tools. This will let me draw in where those tiny details are and sculpt around them, smooth them all without destroying their placement! This will also save time with doing faces. Brilliant! Thank you!

Incredible new features! This update is really going to expand the capabilities of Nomad. Thank you so much. Also, I do hope to see a desktop version of Nomad on the Mac. One can dream. ^^

I dont really get why this is so exciting😅... What is the difference with simply uding the mask tool. Thank you for your videos

There are many differences to a mask. An example: mask a surface and extract it with thickness -> now try to mask the edge / border.... With the mask it's almost impossible, with the face group it's just a tap. There are hundreds of advantages.

To elaborate on what ProcreateFX just wrote, facegroups live on the model indefinitely once they're created. Unlike temporary masks, facegroups remain until you remove them. In the case of masking, you generally have to drop your existing mask to create a new one. Also, facegroups are arguably more precise at selecting whole faces and can also be used to help create complex masks. Having both tools in Nomad and using them interchangeably has many advantages. And let's not forget about the addition of the new "Hide" feature. Together, it's a very powerful toolset on a tablet in the palm of your hands that will help speed up the sculpting process, offer more control over your meshes, and help mitigate barriers to creativity.
