Hahaha I made an eye by my own a few weeks ago, after this video I have to start over 😂. For looking like glass, I use high metalness for the material and give at the ”Shading" menu a very low opacity at Material. It looks a bit like glass, it is transparent. But I don’t know if that gives a good result for an eye and I think you probably already know it. Thanks again Erika! 👌

Hahaha I often have to redo models bit that is good practice :D I actually did exactly that but I wasnt a big fan of the result. The eye looks like foggy 😕 Michael is making a video on rendering the eyes in Blender that does support transparent materials :D

One question, how do you create the eyeball topology? when it starts with the sphere, it doesn't look like that.

Ok, I found it 😅

Hey Erika, I love your tutorials. I’m trying to replicate this move at 2:45, when you are pushing the iris in with the Move tool, but it just keeps deforming my shape. I matched your settings. I assume that there’s a key combination that helps you keep ‘Move’ on the axis, is there a way to do it without a keyboard?

Setting in Gizmo choose the third block as auto

@@jilllin9175 Love your other tutorials too but found this one to be lacking. "Setting in Gizmo choose the third block as auto" -- what in the world does this mean? lol. Tutorial lacks vital information needed to progress past 2:45 mark.

when I use the selection mask for an ellipse, the circle is rough and not perfect, it looks griddy, how do I fix this?
@SmallRobotStudio2 жыл бұрын
You probably need to increase the resolution of your mesh, the mask is painted based on the number of polygons. I usually recommend the use of Multiresolution so you preserve the original density

Hey Erika, Stephane added additive transparancy in version 1.48 of Nomad Sculpt . you can create transparent Corneas now.

How do I remove the mask? I’m trying to clear it, but it’s just inverting the mask. I just started Nomad Sculpt on my iPad.

How are you masking perfect circles?
@SmallRobotStudio3 жыл бұрын
The Select Mask Took has the option to do perfect circles. I review the tool in detail in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZSmoqCjbcatY5I For the eyes it also helps that I used UV spheres which have circular edge loops, contrary to regular spheres. Hopes this helps!

I’m a noob so forgive my ignorance: but this tutorial is impossible to follow. Is there a preceding tutorial in which you demonstrate radial masking? Also, you tap on reverse to lower the spheres resolution and this can’t be done, only subdivide is available.
