OK I'm officially excited about this one! And for two very good reasons. Firstly, its a cool feature in Nomad that allows us to dig holes in stuff which is super useful for all you 3DPrining aficionados. Secondly, this is the first time I get to talk about our upcoming Nomad Sculpt ipad Course for Beginners! Check it out and get on our mailing list southerngfx-limited.mykajabi.com/pl/234293 right after watching the video of course!

For sure Joel. I'm going to keep putting out Nomad and Forger videos on a Friday and I'm looking out for anything new that comes along. My goal is to give artists a basic, one-stop course that gives a foundation to Nomad then Forger. From there I can release weekly updates and more high-end courses over the next few months. Nice! I'm looking forward to the course.... I need more popcorn. I have a small resin 3D printer and wanted to hollow a model, chop it into print-sized parts (can a tool be made with the build plate dimensions to speed the cut-to-size operation?), and add inner scaffolding that would help attach everything together once printed? Example: Bronze sculptors do something like this and then put them together and weld them all into one part.

Awesome! Are there any other Boolean functions?
@SouthernGFX4 жыл бұрын
No, not yet. To be very clear these aren't true boolean operations rather a system to do voxel removal using a other shape. The process does a voxel remesh and yields the new shape. It's not perfect and you have to go really high poly on the models for the time you are running the operation but it's a great start. True booleans and live boolean's would be the goal for me.

@@davidcormier5560 thanks Dsvid. There are two core technologies that you need to consider. Filament (FDM) and Resin (there's a few types). Filament basically gets heated and heat bonds to a lower layer so however thin those layers are there are always lines. Most of the resin technologies use a UV (405nm) laser to cure a layer of resin so that's more of a chemical bond and incredibly smooth on newer machines. I just upgrade so the Druid was done on a Peopoly Phenom which is insane quality for the price.

Hello! When i want to use voxel merge, I am limited to 121 in the voxel remeshing is it because my iPad pro is a bit dated and I am limited in terms of RAM
@SouthernGFX4 жыл бұрын
If you mean the number when you are merging multiple objects then you might find it changes with different sized models. I only record on a 2018 iPad Pro which is the one that had 4gig so I doubt it’s your machine limiting you. I’ll ask the developer what limits it.
@davidcormier55604 жыл бұрын

I’m a beginner and curious if your course will explain details like file sizes for 3D print.. and does this program do animation and what some of these terms mean in saving files...also I’ve been trying to figure out an easy way to delete a project to start over .. would like to learn that too but it’s all over my head at this point.. maybe you might know where one should begin... my big obstacle in these programs are understanding file sizes all totally foreign to me .. how it all works ..importing and exporting. I’m fascinated about the skills you have., amazing... thank you kindly for y our videos thus far even if they are over my head.

Hi there. I'm sure I can help if your goal is to to use Nomad Sculpt as a 'sculpting program' on an iPad. It doesn't do any animation in any way and it has no rendering capabilities. I've been teaching this subject matter since it was invented and recently we have had the amazing breakthrough of being able to do it on a mobile device. This first course is for beginners wanting to sculpt on an iPad and it is NOT focussed on 3DPrinting as that is not for a person just picking up an iPad and sculpting for the first time. I will cover that in its entirety but this course is about understanding every part of the program in a logical way and then putting it all together in a single character sculpt session. Here's some helpful pointers...
@SouthernGFX4 жыл бұрын
1. To delete files just go to FILES on the IPAD. Find where you saved it (usually NOMAD/PROJECTS or similar and delete it that way. In that FOLDER toy will see file names and FILE SIZES. Save a few as tests and you will see how big your files are. The file names end in .glb.lz4 this is the files type that Nomad chooses to save its default files in.

I guess I wasn’t very clear with my question < thank you for taking the time to answers my concerns... much appreciated..🙏🏻 I meant to say how do you delete a project you haven’t saved to files yet without hitting back arrow or deleting all the layers.. I stumbled upon a start new project button. . And it answered my question. .. haha 🙃🙃. Any how I’ve been using procreate for work.. and just started to learn a little animation but wondering if there is a better animation on iPad and do you teach that? I’m also learning affinity... love your expertise..and amazed at your knowledge... 👌🏻🙏🏻 thank you kindly.
