Just beware of "Drop Shippers" & $5 ebook salesmen out there ..selling..How they made it to being a Digital Nomad ;)
@thattablebloke8 жыл бұрын
Use your brain for a second. If they're selling ebooks and courses on how to make money doing this or that, it normally means they're just scraping by in their respective niches at best, maybe making minimum wage or thereabouts or plain lying about their income if they're especially shady, so they sell ebooks and courses instead to make money. They make more this way. Selling shovels in a gold rush. If they were making serious, or even just decent money doing whatever it is they're promoting, 1. They wouldn't be selling their secrets for $15 in an ebook, 2. They wouldn't be making more competition for themselves (for god sake don't believe the "I just want to help others" or the abundance mindset excuse, that's for even bigger fools to swallow), 3. They'd be concentrating on their business and growing it to make more money instead of spending all their time showing others how to do it and having 1 and 2 happen. You have something in between your ears, put it into gear.

Making money online is not a scam, I have been doing it since 2003. I have made money with affiliate marketing, creating logos, advertising, selling books ect... Being a Nomad, and living cheaply in Thailand is not a scam. Yes you can get an apartment the size of a hotel room even in Bangkok for under $150 a month. Electricity is a little more expensive because it is so hot, and appliances are not exactly energy efficient. Yes you can eat healthy freshly cooked food with a bottle of water for under $2.00 The data plan for a cell phone cost me about $15 a month. Taxis in Bangkok run on natural gas, and are ridiculously cheap. 35 baht or $1 to start. It is ridiculous to imply the Digital Nomad lifestyle is a scam. Sure there are some people who are modern day snake oil salesmen, but there are many more who are not. An aspiring author who is bringing in several hundred U.S. dollars a month, and wants to live in Thailand where they can survive on their meager income while they focus on their writing can't possibly be considered a scam artist.

I have made it very clear that it is possible to live life successfully as a DM. Since you can't read, I'll say it again: Yes its possible to be a successful DM. However, you have been doing it since 2003 when the barriers to entry were lower. Now the market is saturated and you have scammers like JD profiting off fresh meat where most will fail. Sure a talented author can make a few hundred a month, but out of every 10 aspiring authors, how many actually make money? And stop with the damn cheerleading Chris, its sickening.
@totallosersguidance83027 жыл бұрын
No where in your original comment do you say that it is possible to live life successfully as a DM... "Im going to CM next year and Im going to create a documentary on whether DM actually make money. Some quantitative proof to prove once and for all if its a scam or not."" What am I missing??? WordPress type templates were in their infancy in 2003. You had to code it yourself back then. AOL was social media back then. It is easier now in my opinion. Yes some DM's may be scammers, and I have seen some DM's selling "How be a DM" products before they became successful themselves. Good Luck with your documentary.

This was a great event, truly brilliant. and to all the haters, what's the matter didn't you get rich quick? Grow up, it takes hard work and persistence. Your jealousy explains why you failed. March and Leanne were especially inspirational, but all the speakers brought something useful.

Honestly the summit was geared more toward people who are already digital nomads. Noobs like myself was lost. The slightly tech stuff was nothing new to techies but I am sure non techies learned a lot.

Marty McLeod Seriously? A conference and no one has anything to sell? The presentations are not capture devices to put people into the funnel? Just sharing? No motivation for $$$ somewhere on the back end? Be honest.

Ronnie O Yes, seriously. What you either didn't pay attention to or didn't understand is that the people attending were already living/working abroad, not potentially doing so.
