Iran is a Shia Muslim country. In India, whatever hindu-muslim problems are with Sunni Muslim. Moreover Iran has a very educated and civilized population, unlike the Madarsa learnt Sunnis. Shias are comparatively more adjusting and tolerant than Sunnis. So, I don't think your logic, that here in India we shouldn't quarrel upon religion, well, even more bigger quarrel, conflict is going on within Islam- between Shias and Sunnis. Both hate each other like anything. Anyways, I have been to beautiful Esfahan and had very warm experience from locals. Iran is cheapest place for Indian tourists.

Yes ofcourse Iran is conservative Any ladies are not allowed without burkaha out there. These peoples doing all activities in their house so no problem so don't be misguided. I spent many years in Iran, Iranium youth don't like mullah orders so they do lot of time fighting but you know you can't fight with government.
