Makes me think of wandering across open, wide plains, the sky overcast and the grass around me waving, brilliant gold.

My dad is in the hospital and I am at work, thinking about him. He is fine; he will be out today, hopefully. This album helps me keep focused.

i'm just sitting in the library at school bawling my eyes out looking like a complete idiot, then i realize almost 96,000 people heard this album and i don't feel so alone anymore

Cassie Forevermore Hey I know this comment is pretty old, and I hope that you are doing better these days, but never forget that you're not alone :)

I used to get to high school very early, when all was empty and walk around listening to this as the sun rose. Sad about everything and sad about nothing. Takes me back

Nomads souds really nice. It's deep, beauty but less sad than bands like Whale Fall, Beware of Safety etc...

Have y'all read the story that the band wrote to read-along with the album? If not, then I'd highly recommend it. It's one of the most beautiful pieces of writing I've ever had the experience of reading.

So I tried really really hard to see what makes this album so popular amongst many other post rock albums, but 20 mins in I'm just so bored of listening.. the music seems void of anything truly inspiring it is just tiresome to listen to it.. I'm always puzzled because this seems to be the case with most popular post rock albums... I think it has something to do with simplicity.. maybe as an avid listener of the genre im just looking or only satisfied for more complex works now.
