nothing like a well designed system. I love cooling my house with the sun! charged my electric car today 200 km of range from the sun! :)

Yes, solar is one of the best hobbies to get into, I think.

Your system is beautiful! Glad you, Ziggy and the birdy are doing well!

Bird is doing fantastic. Think we have worn out the start cap on the big AC unit's motor. It has 2 motors in it. 1) For the fan and the 2np cap for the compressor motor. The fan's motor and capacitor are fine. The compressor is pulling 30A and tripping its circuit breaker. Looks like the start run cap is blown. Thank our lucky stars, it happens after the heatwave 😉😊

Good to see little tweety bird is doing well. I hope his parents will come.

system is balanced pretty good looking at the data

Spent a lot of time over the years making it just right. Most people that don't know anything, or just enough to think they know it all, Say That the system is too big. Mind you, the same people that say that, have never lived in a normal house with normal appliances through an Australian summer just off batteries and Solar power.

it's not to big much smaller it would be short from time to time@@JustinCaseSolarPower

@@royamberg9177 took us years of living off the grid to work out just what we needed to run our home all year round. Just have to finish building the backup side of things before we can head off on another bush trip again. 😊

Thanks Chris, you are an inspiration to me. Off to suppliers this week. Cheers, Rod.

How have you been Rod? Yes, things are going well here for us. Really nice day today top of 31c. The bird's mum and dad never turned up, looks like we have a house guest for another 2 weeks. All good 🐦🐦

Did Mom come for baby yet?

No, may have died in the heatwave. We have not seen them at all. Teaching the bird to fly now. And putting plans in motion to give it the best chance when we let it go. Will do a video on that.

Hi Chris, how many kwh storage do you have usable? And how much pv in kw? We have had only 3 ok solar days in the last 10 here on the east coast
@JustinCaseSolarPower10 ай бұрын
The PV in KW I said in the video. 7.5kw on the Deye and 3KW will be on the 2nd unit when I am finished, totalling 11,500 Watts 2x 12 kWh batteries and 1×10 kWh =34kWh total usable is around 30 kWh have never run them down to shut-off, so I am not 100% sure on total usable. What we found with our system is we just need a bit of sun to charge up. Just love lithium batteries.😉👍
@peterryan734010 ай бұрын
@JCSolarPowerandBushCamping My electrical tech at work and I have determined that 30kwh is probably the sweet spot for storage. Unfortunately, 10kwh was all I could afford at the moment. My battery has just topped off to 100% at 10:45am from 20% this morning so not bad
@JustinCaseSolarPower10 ай бұрын
@@peterryan7340 Yes Peter, a 10KW battery is only good for a weekend retreat or as a power backup. Not a lot of redundancy in that for you at all, I estimate we have 30 kWh of usable. We use a lot of power in Summer, as you can see. But we heat the house most of the time in winter with wood. So we can stand a bad day or 2. We don't need a lot of sun to keep going. Remember, we have had years of experience living with solar. So we have this system tuned in for our needs. No 2 systems are the same. 🙃
