With EnderIO conduits: it’s generally a bad idea to use the default green channel for either extract or insert, because it’s very easy to accidentally allow them to start working when you don’t intend them to, like later when you are extracting from interfaces with filters. That probably doesn’t make sense right now, but it’s good to get into a habit of picking a dedicated default color for extract and another for insert and always configure your conduits that way. Keep it up - Greg is tough, but fair! Also, since you mentioned food, I noticed a lot of players don’t play in peaceful mode, but you absolutely can with this pack and I always do. Finding food and fighting mobs is not why I play this game and not having to do either is very nice.

This is extra annoying with fluid conduit specifically, at least item conduit dont auto insert the monent you place them, so you can still use green channel for it and it would be fine (not that i would really recommend, keep thing consistent is better imo). But fluid conduit auto insert, so if you use green channel the fluid will automatically insert into whatever machine you want and that can cause trouble, dont use green channel for fluid, always use brown or something else.

Very interesting to hear the though process behind setting up infrastructure for the base, love to see more. A task sign board is very nice to keep track of what you want to do, if you ever feel like the quest book is a tad bit daunting. Of ocurse, your general goal should be getting better circuit and reaching next tier, but saying "just ge aluminium" is easier said then done, especially if that need EBF and aluminium and so on. Nice to keep thing small so you dont get overwhelmed. I dont remember how cheap electrical tool are, and i dont even know for sure if you can get electrical tool in LV (i would assume you can), but if you can, i recommend you get it. There are like 250 material through JEI, so pick one that give decent durability and speed, and remember to charge them so they take a lot less durability when used. Again, might be a bit early, but if you get tired of how slow breaking gt machine is, that is a way. A pickaxe works as well though, so effficiency pickaxe can help. You can hit claim all in the quest, if you ever feel like hitting claim for every single quest is annoying :) Vacuum chest not completing is mostly a NBT issue,Ender IO machine when placed and broken is (generally) a different machine as far as the game is concerned, that could be why. For the record, mold gear in alloy smelter take 1 step, but require more material than extractor + solidifier. I do not remember if you can extract iron at LV, but if you do you can totally run with the more efficient recipe. Or if you found that to be a bit troublesome, just be inefficient to be efficient. To a certain extent. Have a good laugh when you complain at robot arm recipe. Generally speaking, assembling machine and circuit assembler are some of the most expensive thing to craft in a certain tier. Require lots of component and circuit. They are very powerful though, so i would say it is a worthy investment. And you are gated by it anyway. The alloy smelter works for making bronze too, if you ever feel like macerating, mixing then smelting is too slow. Keep going!

LV is the only tier for 3 of the 5 GT electric tools in the pack, with the wrench and drill being the exceptions, though both are still available in LV. Drill is what I’d gun for first, _unless_ if it is at all possible to reach the Lost Cities dimension, you can pretty easily find some Dark Steel tools and armor, and scrounge together upgrades for them to make a decent early pickaxe that is far more material efficient than anything you can make until at least aluminum. Electric wrench and screwdrivers are nice to have for configuring machines, though you probably aren’t blowing through them this early on in the game. The chainsaw is usually my first powered tool, makes getting a lot of rubber decently faster and you don’t tear through its durability like you do a drill. The buzzsaw is purely for crafting and most of what the saw/buzzsaw can do, machines can do just as well. Not sure if iron needs an MV extractor, but steel absolutely does, which is a pain. (Re)learned that one the hard way when making the Gregicality steam engine multiblock (playing expert mode, dynamos are hilariously inefficient)

ah thanks for the answer, i think eagle is playing on lost city by default? And i agree, a drill is nice for well, mass removal and such. Though by the time you get it you wont really mining that much, it is still nice to have it. Oh and yeah, LV extractor are kinda limited on what they can do, but they do shine here and there for the good old extractor + solidifier. Gl on expert mode.
