Exactly my story too! Do a basic and then get a private instructor to graduate from a snow plough, stem to parallels. Wait for the eureka moment when you knees, body balance, the physics and the mechanics work in tandem. When they do - skiing is heaven found in Gulmarg. A very well done video for any ski lover. Kudos to you.

Excellent video!! Absolutely worth the wait!! I tried skiing for 2 days in 2016 January... of course cannot call myself even a basic skier after that very short trip. Your video brought back a lot of memories 😊 But the highlight for me was how empty and clean Gulmarg looked in your video... when I went it was choc-a-block with people from all parts of India and trash (plastic bottles, chocolate wraps, Lays packets) was ubiquitous. After seeing your video, I regret not going to Kashmir this year... Keep travelling 👍

Sure Harsh :) Although there are no fixed number of days for this if you are planning to learn through a private instructor! It is up to you how much you can give time to it. With JIMs/IISM (government institutes) you need 15 days!

Yeah, It depends upon qualified instructor and his skills, their usually charges is minimum 2000 per day, And lot of people's are teaching here very cheap, 1000 or 1500 per day, basically there will be the porters, With professional ski instructor you can come on ski by your own from 1st phase gondola to bottom within 3 to 4 days , depending upon your pickup, I'm also from gulmarg Kashmir and belongs to same profession, Lot of kind of equipment will be available, Stranger people's don't know, what will be nice, Don't hesitate to ask for any updates about here continuously, If needed you can contact, [phone] or [e-mail]
