My biggest issue with any of these is that, they are -edited to all fucking hell and back-. This is to try and bypass copyright protections. All these fights often have key dialog and context clues that would make it infinitely easier for a non-anime watcher to understand. All of that context is cut out for the sake of trying to circumvent the copyright bots. Take Mob Psycho 100. That fight with the percent bar increases as his emotions overwhelm him. As his little brother is beat on Mob loses his shit, hits 100% and goes full "I'll crush you" mode. You're utterly lost because ALL THAT FUCKING CONTEXT WAS TAKEN OUT. There were several fights that you were completely (and rightly) clueless about because these asshole designed "compilations" intentionally cut out critical context and context clues.

The hunter x hunter fight without context is not something you should even watch. There's soooo much to it that requires all the build up to really realize how impressive and epic it is. It's like watching the most impressive chess game without knowing how to play chess

@@amuro9624 Well, I generally didn't like HxH for the most part. It had it's moments, but I don't think it's nearly as good as people say it is. Netero vs Meruem especially disappointed me, because I had heard how good the fight was, but when I finally got to it I was just bored.

@@MandatoryFruit the fight isn't good because of the action. If you found it boring I guess HxH is just not for you. The most interesting thing in HxH is how the characters are written, develop and interact with each other in a very natural and human way. People hyping you up for this fight might have mislead you into thinking this was more like Naruto or one piece where fights and hype is everything (I'm being hyperbolic of course). There's a lot of subtlety in the characters that makes it very interesting when you take the time to analyze and get to know them. The story is built in a way that it fits in the shonen jump and appeals to most teenagers who only care about classic shonen stuff like power levels and fights but underneath the surface you have a really well written story that you get to enjoy more as you grow up. The friendship of killua and Gon might look simple on the surface but it's actually very deep and at the end of the chimera ant arc their character basically cross and develop in the opposite way. The fight with netero and meruem wasn't good because they were strong, that's exactly why I said watching it without context is pointless. Netero is constantly forcing himself to see meruem as only a monster to be eliminated, he's scared to admit that there might be some humanity in him. There's a mix of pride as a human to not accept him because accepting that he's as human as him would mean accepting that meruem is above humans and that his logic that there's nothing wrong with treating humans like cattle because that's how human treat inferior species is right and at the same time he doesn't want to have any compassion for him because netero isn't a cold blooded murderer. During the whole arc meruem becomes more human and more virtuous but when netero is backed in a corner after losing his arm and leg (call back to when he was easily fighting gon and killua with one hand and arm) he decides to throw away his humanity by unleashing the most inhumane type of weapon just to kill meruem. Meruem's character development is also parallel to gon's btw. Anyway you should watch merphy Napier's review of HxH and you'll see how much you might have missed. She's a book reviewer who suddenly got into manga so the way she analyze the story is usually a bit deeper than the average manga KZbinr who only care about how cool fights are.

Before I watched hxh years ago, I checked out netero vs mereum. I thought it was a mediocre fight. Then after watching hxh fully, not only did it go in my top5 anime but this fight was beautiful. My favorite part is when he shows after images of his hands and mereum realizes netero is a serious human being unlike everyone else, someone that could really challenge him. My criticism with the fight though is mereum's attacks showed barely any damages to mereum. His zero attack is his most powerful yet it barely scratched his skin? Really? It should have eviscerated his fingers at least or something Goes to show context really matters lol

@Rising scorching sun Imo zero attack should have had the same impact as the rose bomb without the radiation effects bit at least the damages Hxh isn't the only anime that has some attacks with underwhelming impacts, and it's one nitpick I usually have against such strong opponents

The problem I have with videos like these is that they don't show the entirety of the fights and ignore the backstory and challenges that most of the characters had to overcome just to even get to this point. It's much less epic without context.

The Azien Transformation in the manga was a bit more gruesome, as his face rips in the middle and the face skin is like pushed to the sides as this 3 eyed skull emerges, like a monster in a skin suit.

So basically in One Piece there are these extremely bad tasting fruits called 'devil fruits', which give ppl who eat them some kind of power but with that the sea itself will have a grudge against you and you won't be able to swim. That being said, the dude Luffy fought ate a fruit which let's him turn his body into mochi at will. As for luffy he "ate the 'Gomu Gomu no mi', which turns his body into rubber." There's 3 different types of devil fruits: Paramecia - power of turning their body and surroundings into whatever the fruit is Logia - power of turning themselves into- and creating, -natural elements based on the fruit they ate Zoan - power to turn themselves into Animals or Animal-Hybrids based on the fruit they ate Then there's also a special devil fruit type called "Mythical Zoan" That name is pretty self-explanatory I think Hope that gets you into One Piece 🤣

They screwed up back cutting a lot of the content out. It's way better if you watch it (of course) but the way the clip jumps and miss important dialogs makes it loose its impact. Like when (from Bleach) Aizen says, "I'm so strong the swing of my blade is destroying everything around." Then Ichigo catches it and says "it's not your sword but mine".
