Dont bow down to the chinese controlling the job market and stressing that chinese is needed to get employed. Everyone is going to lose in the end. We will have poor command in english. You must understand the hidden agenda in the long run. Dont be fooled. Its not rhe chinese speaking is desired in the work place, its they need chinese. Of course in the news ad they cant say this out right and have to sugar coat it by saying that their customers are mostly chinese and can speak local language or english. Would like to see the day when jobs posted in england, us and other countries where chinese speaking becomes a criteria to be employed. Lets see how u foreign folks deal with that level of discrimination.

@林冲liam well English is International language , and China Economy is No.2 in the world right now. So both languages are important. We are chinese if we cant speak malay or anything else IT'S OPTIONAL. But learning english and chinese are a MUST as a Chinese.
