I think what he was most impressed with was when a group of friends decided to help a man down from the roof. Now my friend accepted the LORD and he is on his way to knowing Christ. Sometimes Christian’s forget its not OUR job to make someone believe in Christ. Our job is to spread the gospel and let God do the work. Sometimes all it takes is being kind to a person and investing time to have a conversation with them. Spreading the gospel in love and kindness while not compromising the word of God.

Indeed, I'll admit that I use to just do the lazy thing of inviting people to church and had to learn to get away from that. Some others I think do the same by just trying to evangelize and in some extreme cases condem people to hell if they're not interested.

This is a real commentary on the church. The one that made me cry was the young woman that was sexually abused. I was sexually abused by a deacon in the church. The church blamed me and I was thrown out of that church. I've been badly abused by churches but I realised that the church doesn't always represent Jesus.

My heart has recently been gripped by the Lord for Gen Z. Watching this episode broke my heart for those who were deeply hurt and traumatized by others; the young lady in the church and the young man in the cult. Then the tears kept flowing when the other young man was conversing with Jonathan. When we encounter Christ as he is through the revelation of the Holy Spirit, it changes everything. Father, continue to reveal your kindness through Christ to Gen Z that leads them to repentance. Amen.

YESS I cried out and asked God to prove himself to me! He ALWAYS answers that prayer. I was born and raised in AL. I battled drug addiction for years and after being pushed off a rock quarry at 16 it severed my spinal cord and paralyzed me. I had a stranger prophecy over me that “the Lord heard my prayer last night.” No one was even home when I cried out the night before. I knew Jesus was drawing me. Fast forward to today 11 years later and I’m still sober and completely in awe of Jesus 🙌🏻❤️this video was so powerful!

Hey Ruslan, I am someone who was brought up athiest, and even so, we were taught to somewhat hate and demonise the Christan faith. Long story short, I became curious, deeply so. I was questioning my new age beliefs and I put aside all my hate and disgust for Christianity. I didn't know anything about Jesus, not even about the resurrection. Anyway, I started researching and trying to understand. I was very curious and my mind was very open. Naively, one morning while laying in bed, I decided to ask the question to God (my first ever prayer). I plainly said, if your real then why don't you show me. And what happened next was the most surreal and unimaginable thing. My whole body felt warm and I felt a love like nothing else, I felt a huge hug and just deep love being given to me. It was supernatural and surreal. And in that moment I knew God was real. Happy to share more if your ever interested!

Months ago back in January/February when I was dealing with Covid, it made my life terrible while I had it. At one point I was so stressed and Ill, and just sad, that I asked God to please hold me. I just needed someone to hold me and let me know everything was going to be okay. Right after that (I was on my knees in prayer position on my bed) my whole body got warm, and I felt like I sank into my bed a little. I think we had the same experience!

Regardless of everyone's criticism of the show, the one thing (out of many) that stood out, was the how precious/valuable it was to be seen by Jesus. Each person had a dynamically rich but heartbreaking history, so just the retelling of that left fingerprints on their interactions, wrestling with who they thought Jesus "was" and who Christians "were," but the moment they saw kind Jesus, the moment they saw the Jesus that sees them under their "fig tree" or "pool of Bethesda" (or what have you), they felt like - "that's the Jesus I want to know." The Good news is (pun-intended, haha) is that, that Jesus exists and He saves us from our sin (plucking us from the miry clay) and from those broken lives and traumatic experiences. The documentary shows the necessity of the good news of the Gospel, and that us Christians are dealing with the mess of what other "Christians" have done to others through abuse & legalism. Both the truth of the Gospel and exhibiting the love of Christ is our highest goal, and if we could share with, rather than talk down to, or belittle, but being especially bridled and shepherded by the Holy Spirit Himself, our evangelism would look different and feel different 🙏🏼

It's not a replacement or substitute for the Bible but it is a useful tool to bring people to the Bible and to God. I'm starting university this August and have been nervous about not being in a Christian home and worried about how I will approach fellow Gen Zers with my very different views, but I think I underestimated how powerful showing the kindness of Christ is. I'm glad the Chosen is being used as a tool to even start a conversation about Jesus! I do worry that the entire Gospel is sometimes not reflected and art starts to dilute the entire truth. God's love and kindness is true, but so is His wrath and justice, and He does call us to repent and turn away from sin. @@RuslanKD it's never how we describe the Gospel brother, it's how the Bible describes it. There is NO Gospel without an acknowledgement of sin, thus the need for a Savior. It does not mean condeming others, it does mean we risk offending them with the truth, no matter how gentle and loving we are. Please read the entire John 3, all the way to ch 36. Also, Mark 1:14-15🙏🏾

As I type this, Ezekiel 36:25-27 comes to mind: I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

@@graceforalways6445 I’m fairly certain sin, repentance, and Jesus death and resurrection will be covered. Sin and repentance have already been covered. I think it’s a reach that they’ll omit the sin, repentance, part. Well it sound as theological as Bible nerds like me want it to? No. But that isn’t the point of the chosen. You desire a robust gospel presentation in each episode. Awesome. But isn’t the story of Jesus the actual gospel. Let them tell the full story before assuming it’s going to omit the basic of sin, repentance, death, resurrection, divinity, Jesus being the only way. Always have mercy for those who need it. I know for gen z, the younger crowd are less religious but I see a revival in the near future maybe. But I always try to remember to be merciful whenever I come across anyone who has a dislike for Christianity because they don’t have Christ and went through something probably to make them feel a certain way, so always give mercy to those who need it the most because all of us need mercy as well

My goodness hearing the stories of some of these viewers from that panel was just heartbreaking. The way that Souls get abused in the name of God it just fills you up with grief and anger. I'm grateful that God can use Dallas and the show the chosen to even plant seeds in the hearts of these individuals. Praise be to God for the progress in some of their lives in reconnecting with their faith in Christ and others coming closer to wanting to understand about him. @RuslanKD, this video was so inspirational that I had to go back to the interview that you had with Dallas, just a few months ago. Wow what a gracious, gracious guy! God bless him. I haven't had the chance to check the chosen out, but I'm going to start checking it out this weekend. This is awesome!! I'm going to watch that series once and for all. At the 14 to 16 min mark, you elucidate very well how we should engage people who are on the fence; not to try to convince them intellectually, although that is one way to reach some people, but to convey to them through art or music or even just basic friendship, that the choice is theirs and if they are sincere about questioning whether God is real or not or whether His claims are true or not, to ask God to reveal Himself to them. I love that because it removes us who are already believers from the equation and allows God to work in that person directly through His spirit. 👍

I did a video on this, too. It's so, so important. I think that this represents exactly the kind of impact that beautiful Christian art can have on people. I love the whole heart behind the Chosen, and I think that the influence is definitely not flowing in from the Mormon direction - I think it's the other way around. I know Mormons who are impacted by this stuff. Gen Z is poised for something really remarkable in the Kingdom, if we can show them that we care - REALLY care - about them first.

This was brilliant evangelism. My heart broke hearing some of the pain and horrors some of these young people have experienced. I pray they each come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour, then disciple others for Him until He comes again. Amen

For the people who might have problems with the chosen we don’t really know exactly everything that Jesus did, but the show beattifuly gives us a picture of what things could have been like, to show us how loving he was and how people reacted ect.

I put Dallas in the same family as Ken Ham from the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum and who ever made Site & Sound theater. People God raised up for His cause to draw people to Truth, forgiveness, healing, repentance and most importantly salvation. I love this series. In the last several months my relationship with God has gotten very close. I’ve always believed in God and was raised going to church and youth group when I was younger, but i feel I turned my back on God as a teenager. I was sexually abused by an uncle of mine, who used to also be our youth pastor and after all that and how it affected my teenage life not only in church, but with school and personal relationships because of that, I changed into this different person and going to church wasn’t something i wanted to do. I stopped walking with God and just thought because I believed in Him, that was good enough. It wasn’t till this past year when I felt my life literally going down the drain with a job loss and financial struggles that somehow I opened up my eyes and could feel his presence one day (him speaking to me indirectly) and just knowing and feeling His desire to have me walk with Him again. I believe He was always trying…always there and watching over me, but it wasn’t until I opened my eyes again and truly let Him in again that my life has slowly been changing for the better. It’s so hard to explain. It’s transforming me into something so amazing and I’m so blessed that I didn’t keep turning my back on Him like I had for so many years because I’m where I need to be right now with Him and I’m so excited to keep learning and growing with Him. My life was going down the complete wrong path. I was getting involved in weird sexual things with my ex husband and cussing didn’t seem to be a big deal. Sinning wasn’t something I even thought twice about before doing. I could go on and on about how I was allowing the devil to come in, but I’ve already babbled too much. Anyway… now I have a chance for redemption and I’m so happy knowing He never gave up on me and never will. He will never turn his back on you…no matter what. Even when things get tough and you think He isn’t there….He is. He has a purpose for us all and He does everything with intention.

I am more of a visual person and the show helped me so much. I had been kind of going to church but not reading the Bible. I binged 3 seasons of the chosen over a weekend. I just went to see the 4th season in the theater. I asked for a study bible for my birthday ( in February). Now I read my bible just about every day and in a Bible study group. I have only read Matthew, John, and now working on Acts. So far John is my favorite. ❤

My father was a religious extremism. Now a man (27) church still feels like a punishment and sorrows. after I got kick out at 16 I have never been in a church again. And honestly I don’t know if I could ever go back again.

The way Jesus is portrayed in The Chosen is the way I think He is. He was kind, gentle, just, forgiving and a sense of humor, but He was honest and spoke out against injustice and called out hypocrisy and cruelty.

There couldn’t possibly be another character to play that could be this inspiring, not even Moses or Abraham. A lot of people have a negative view on Christianity because of their experience with religion. So many non believers share something huge with Jesus, he was also against religion. And so many people don’t see the true purpose that he severed or who he was which is why docos or movies like this capture this thing that is missing. Art does truly captivate your emotions. My faith started with watch the show called AD and the movie a case for Christ which then got me interested in reading the bible

My son who is 24 and my 19 year old who was a lesbian and is now fasting praying and also my daughter has a boyfriend who is very nice to her and she told me yesterday she’s in love with him. My son today told me he wanted to fast then annointed the house , now this is not coming from me I just put the Chosen on and they started watching and now we are so United Thank You I was an orphan and also was a single mother and this is all I want to my children to have a close relationship with Jesus I am so grateful because I am sick physically and it’s what I was worried about there faith and to all who donated just know you change 2 young adults serving the Lord now . ❤️please help us to pray for my other daughter she just got diagnosed with Lupus but I will not except that diagnosis As for me and my house will serve the Lord. 😊

For one I think the show is great. It shows how of all people the actual apostles were just everyday people with struggles, doubts, and issues. For centuries we’ve only been taught how holy they are. As for the actors portrayal of Jesus, I think he and Jim Caveisal from passion are some of the best on film. Side note: Jesus is the exact definition of sigma male personality. Strong, silent until needing to speak, listened to those who are hurting and gives them the path to improve and better themselves while encouraging when we fail.

I can relate to some of these kids. It didn't happen in a church as much as a private Christian school. I won't go into details except to say that I was expelled for something that wasn't entirely my fault on absurd reasons. I became depressed and had PTSD. Then, a woman came into my life that was a fellow Christian. We started dating and it was the unconditional fondness we had towards each other that eventually blossomed to unconditional love for each other that helped me to find myself again and feel whole once more. When my mom was still alive, she once told me that she appreciated that girl coming into my life because she saw how our relationship made me come back alive again. I attribute that meeting to God to this day.

A lot of people say god hates sinners when it’s a complete lie. God came down in the flesh and died for sinners to get to know him. What he hates is the evil we do because love without hate to those who hurt who you love isn’t love. I prayed that prayer in my garage, withdrawing from drugs, in a super low of my life, God if You are real, please help me and show me that You are real? He answered in an amazing way that I can never deny. He was there and talked to me, I couldn't see Him but He revealed the truth to me and asked me, "Will you follow me?" I said yes!

I believe in God. I believe in something higher than myself. I was raised Irish Roman Catholic. I became disillusioned with organized religion because the Irish Roman Catholic God is a 2-faced God. On the one hand, he was a kind, merciful, forgiving God. On the other, he was a strict God and if you didn't toe the line or believe exactly what he told you to believe, he was a scourge and you were going to Hell for Eternity. I have a much more personal relationship with God now and no one can break my love for Him. I don't need a Church to tell me he loves me.
