It's not even a parity thing, pretty sure there is no parity issues on a 3x3. Afaik this can happen if you're solving really fast and randomly twist it during an algorithm, but I'm not fast enough a solver to do it
@desmondschneider5397
@desmondschneider5397 Жыл бұрын
@@Kasiarzynka There are. If you twist a corner, solving it will leave a corner twisted. If I scramble a cube, it can always be solved. If I twist a corner, it’s impossible without retwisting it. This can be further confirmed by the Bluetooth cube. If I twist a corner, I will not be allowed to calibrate it like that. It’ll say “Oops, looks like a corner has been twisted!” And won’t be solvable until I twist the corner back and resolve it so I can calibrate it. 3x3x3 does have parity issues.

Considering we use algorithms in cubing to solve them, and use algorithms in math for the same purpose, we technically could say that solving the cube is math.
@Imaltont
@Imaltont 11 ай бұрын
The entire puzzle and the solutions falls within discrete mathematics, set theory and combinatorics in particular. You're not really thinking actively that what you're doing is mathematics usually though, and especially if you haven't encountered the relevant sub fields to any degree, but it isn't wrong to say that it is.

When I was a kid, I really believed that you have to be good in math to solve the rubiks cube lol, but not because of the term "algorithm" being also a math term, but because remembering algorithm is kinda same with remembering equations to me. Also I saw cubing the same way I saw math because both needs you to play within certain rules and there is just one absolute conclusion in evey situation or problem. I thought it'll be hard for me then cause I'm not good in math at all, instead I excel in arts which is kinda the opposite of math. But I guess I'm not so right as a kid, because now I can solve different cubes pretty decently although I'm still really stupid with math lol.

What about the ones who take a solved cube, scramble it with just two or three moves, then come to you and say "look! I can solve a Rubik's cube faster than you!"?

Its crazy the amount of people that think that scrambling the cube for a long time makes it harder...

All of these are relatable af, i used to bring my cube in class, and whenever something that is in the video happened, i would be super annoyed and tell them a real reason and they would come up with a dumb unrelated excuse to why im wrong. After a week i stopped bringing it. Non cubers frfr

The question is not "why do people take my cubes" the question actually is "where do these people come from and how they get inside my house"

God, The messy cube is one of the worst. One of the people living in my house doesn't clean their hands at all- they asked me to solve their cube and it was so greasy- like how do you get a cube constantly feeling wet even when I used a paper towel to clean it?! Let them borrow my cube and they took half an hour scrambling it then gave it back... glad it was a cheap cube.

wouldn't it be easier to just reassemble the cube rather than peeling of the stickers? Back when I don't know how to solve a cube, I just break it apart and reassemble it. I didn't even think of peeling off the stickers because it will ruin the thing, lol
