This is awesome!!😍 You've done a fantastic job, and YOU ARE clever!!! With my back the way it is, this would work perfectly for me. I'm happy with a large bucket / tub if I have to handwash, but my back needs more looking after these days. Love your idea❤❤❤

"There is nothing new under the sun " ... having said that, my great great grandfather built one of these out of a wooden barrel for my great great grandmother for their wedding. They didn't have hoses so gramps built it with a wedge under one end to tip the barrel for drainage..... over the side of the porch where he also attached a drying line. It held up for all these years and now a family member put a lid on it and uses it as a bar. But that little thing helped my GG Grandma get through the Great Depression. She bartered the use of it for bread or game. So nice job on this one! I bet it's lighter. Nice tutorial as well! So happy you brought this thing back! Thank you!

Great build! I have an old double metal wash and rinse tub on wheels that don't roll anymore. It sure comes in handy. And, yes you can get a nice wringer. ❤

I bought mine from Lehman last year. Only 1 they had in stock with the winger and they rang up the marked price on it & not Internet price. It was about $200 savings that way. If you live close by then it's worth the trip just in savings from shipping cost. I live about 3hrs away. I was able to pick up more off grid stuff from the savings

This is exciting! I was contemplating designing a clothes washer powered by a traditional windmill (Texas has had wild weather causing extended power-outages). Your design has answered so many of my "how do I even start" questions. Thank you for sharing your build!

cool idea. Thanks for sharing. I think I'll try to build similar - however, I'll need to have an easy storage solution so maybe removable legs are the way to go for me. Love the idea of mounting a manual wringer.

Very nice build. Pure genius. I've been wanting something like this for myself, but I justt wasn't sure how to go about making it. I've got a wringer that I bought a few years ago, and this was the key piece I needed to set myself up with a great off grid washing machine. I have even come up with an idea for making it a lot better, and when I do it, I'll be sure to give you the credit for the original idea. It will be on my alternate channel DIMTIM1000. Thank you so much for sharing.

Have a nice trip? You preparing for the power being shut off? Nice project but, I would just build a wood gasifier to run my generator. Then I could use the labor saving devices. If you go with the gasifier and generator, put them on a trailer and use an electric chainsaw. Good Luck, Rick

@@will5184It is currently a bunch of propane tanks and pipes. When I need it, I'll build it but its not a priority yet. Mr Teslonian has excellent how to videos for alternative energy projects. Restoring my pickup and and enlarging my garden are the priorities. You could look at powering your washer with a vertical wind turbine and run it through the trans-axle from a lawn tractor. Good Luck, Rick

did something similar diy with a 55 gallon. check out the pannedemic dasher washer here on youtube. prefer to use 30 and 15 gallon size. i use them inside my bathtub so i don't need a stand. the only hand crank wringer i found that works is the heavy duty carwash type.
