As someone who's only very recently gotten into fabric, i can now see why people were, uh... Insistent on getting me to switch. It's got pretty fast loading time, it's not that laggy, and the mods are pretty powerful. The pehkui mod and immersive portals mod are the first 2 I've tried. It feels not like I've switched to fabric, but like i now have it as another option to have fun with. This has been my "i understand now" text wall.

There is an easy way to do the tiny blocks, as there is a command in the game that does all of the steps for you: /portal create_scaled_box_view [teleportChangesScale] This is quite the command, so lets take it one step at a time. : these are the coordinates of the thing you want to be shrunk down. x1, y1, and z1 are the coordinates of one corner while x2,y2, and z2 are the coordinates of another. : This is how big you want the small blocks to be. For example, if you select an area that is 16x16x16, if you set the scale to 8, the small area will be 2x2x2. if you set the scale to 16, it will be 1x1x1. This works in the opposite direction as well, for example if you set the scale to 0.5, it will be 32x32x32, making the portals bigger. : This one is just the entity where the box will be placed. For example, if the placeTargetEntity is @p, it will put it directly at your feet. : Self explanatory, either "true" (it is bi-way) or "false" (it is not) [teleportChangesScale]: This one is a bit hard to explain, so i reccomend trying out both options, but I will do my best. If this value is set to "true", when you step into the portal it will change your scale so that the box looks normal. If it is set to "false", when you step into the portal it will not change your scale, meaning it will still look small As always, If you have any questions let me know. You can also do it with a mod called bit's n chisels it just makes pixels, and a resource pack that makes each pixel look like a block.

Very good video. It's maybe a bit shameful that my biggest takeaway was about moving the portal 0.5 blocks. As I pointed out in your previous video, I made the tiny house using boxed view. One of the main differences is that I couldn't find a way to align the box with the block it's sitting on, because the box is spawned directly on an entity, not by using coordinates. In other words, your tiny house is "connected" to the big block it's sitting on while my tiny house has its own floor which I couldn't connect to the big block. Does that make sense?

You can just make a scaled box view to make small structures Just make sure to to yourself into the block you want your box view since it creates it on you

You aren't smaller, the big structure is hidden behind the orange wall. There are portals around the structure that make everything look bigger. Entering the portal just teleported the player into the structure.

I think I once saw a mod that does something like this, but I can't remember the name. OpenBlocks has the height map projector, but I'm not sure if it changes live and the blocks are only captured from above. The last option would be to use the "/portal create_scaled_box_view [teleportChangesScale]" command from Immersive portals. You can disable teleportation for the portals and enable fuseview. ("isBiWay" should be false because otherwise you'd be able to see the room where you have the model from the area you have "mapped" and there would be no way to exit)
