Earlier this month, I hosted a livestream in which I designed a group of intelligent aliens. The basic idea was to have two species. One with human-level intelligence, but limited dexterity, meaning they couldn’t use tools. And a second group that could use tools, but was far less intelligent.
In the days since, I've been expanding upon the idea by finalizing their designs, making art, and fleshing out their world's history. This is the final product and I'm really happy with it! I plan on making more videos like this in the future, so I hope you enjoy.

@@Cree8Ball that’s understandable, it may even be cool if their early peoples to carve their texts into their “tree”’s inner rings. What confuses me is how you would write something like a book, manuscript, or even just a simple phrase beyond a sentence in that writing style.

@Cree8Ball
@Cree8Ball Жыл бұрын
@@xaviwashere_ compound words are usually just unique rings that take elements from two different rings. Like the "Human" symbol is just a mix of their symbols for "Joone and Space" since they thought humans were just alien Joones. And for sentences, they have specific rings that act the same way as periods do in English, so you know when one sentence ends and the next begins

Wow, that is so wonderfull and creative, if u have enough time then I hope u'll expand on this lovely project like u did with the post human one, also, I have a question : can't the harlos manipulate their surroundings with their trunks at least to some extend and can't they sorta use their tails to lift heavier things?
@Cree8Ball

I gave them the little pincers so they'd be able to do simple things like writing and sewing, so yes, they can do some stuff like that, but anything that requires much strength their basically useless. At first thought, non-humanoid aliens would make more sense because of the fact that we, "Are influenced to think things are like us" But in actuality, it would make more sense for aliens to have humanoid bodies as there is not that much limit to flexibility etc. And the humanoid body we have is pretty easy to control, sustain and manage. It isn't the best type of body for a species but it is one of the best choices in evolution. Unless it is a more primitive species, humanoid bodies are probably one of the keys for more advanced societies. Emphasis on probably.

How do you get the ideas for this stuff? This is extremely creative, on par with the World of the Birrin. Also, it can e argued that cats are the intelligent species, and use us to get food, protection and free massages, and only pretend to be unintelligent.
@Cree8Ball
@Cree8Ball Жыл бұрын
Well I of course had the help of my discord server, but other than that I mostly just try to establish a strong base and then push everything else to it's extreme. Like, "how would this interspecies symbiosis actually manifest?" Turns to, "how would this connection affect their religion" turns to "what would happen if the religious folks lost their Joones" turns to "why would they need to lose their Joones?" And so on. And that goes for their biology, too, like how would they actually write and speak? I even developed a way that they would sew, but I didn't have time for it in the episode

the only laws that a spacefaring intelligent species should follow is that they need SOME way to interact with ANY kind of machinery (such as limbs, or even something like a way to emit noises/other things to control tech), and atleast some adaptation to space itself.
