Great information! Would I need to make an on-chain transfer to switch from using Exodus to Trezor Suite? Or is there a way to "Port" from one wallet to anothe on the same machine? Thanks

Great question! If you're using your Trezor with Exodus, you should be able to just plug it in with Trezor Suite open and everything will be there. Your Bitcoin account can be viewed/received/sent regardless of what wallet you use the Trezor with :) If you're currently using Exodus by itself (no trezor connected) then you would just do a transaction from Exodus to your Trezor on Trezor suite.

You can but, what’s the point? If you buy from P2P it’s because you put value in privacy (at least some level of it). Binance is a multibillion dollar company with no HQ and ties with several governments worldwide.

You can indeed use Hodl Hodl to buy BTC and send to your Jade. I don't think it's integrated directly into Blockstream Green, but you can still send there from your purchase.

Newbie to non-kyc so bear with me. 1. If you're using some sort of payment system linked to your bank, doesn't your bank (and government if they wanted) know about your purchase of btc? 2. Is it recommended to use a VPN when purchasing non kyc btc? 3. Does it matter if kyc and non kyc btc are stored in the same wallet? Or should you keep a separate wallet for non kyc purchases? So you can use labelling and coin selection to help with this. Picture your KYC coins are physical bills with ink on them. If you spend them together with non-kyc coins, you will link them together. A way around this: use Sparrow wallet, which I mention at the end, to coinjoin all your existing KYC'd coins.

I'm really confused why it matters if the Bitcoin is non-KYC or not. Does it really matter? Seems like it's more trouble than it's worth. I mean - tracking down the history of your BTC does not seem like it would be too complicated for those who really want to find out. I'm just trying to understand the pros and cons. Trying to be private is virtually impossible since governments have unlimited resources so how is this really of any benefit?

While your right if your targeted by a 3 letter agency, the more addresses that are not correlated the harded it will be. Which slows the show down. That's another reason to always use a new address. Basically don't make it easier for the thieves.

all security is about increasing the cost of the attacker, no security is perfect. if someone really wants to cut your lock and steal your bike from your underground parking, they're gonna. but you do it anyway because its more of a pain in the ass for them. you make yourself a much, much harder target when you aren't linking your btc purchases directly to your verified identity. add a mixer like CoinJoin into the fray, and you are very close to invisible on the chain. and government resources aren't "unlimited" otherwise they would have been able to 51% the Bitcoin network ;)

Yeah, we all can track 100% of your coin on the blockchain. No question about it. But if you buy from KYC exchanges, your name is attached to every bitcoin address you own.

Basically it comes down to if you want a record of every Bitcoin you own sitting with a 3rd party. That information is susceptible to hackers who could then target you in the future, or in a nightmare scenario - BTC is outlawed, all records are ordered by the gov, and they come to you asking to hand over everything. Buying BTC without KYC defends against both of these scenarios.

If you want non KYC sats sell items you want to offload and advertise Bitcoin only. Trust me, if people want what your selling they will pay in Bitcoin. 👍
