Non-occupational asbestos exposure on the rise in Australia

Asbestos has been banned for over 20 years, but many Australians still suffer from its effects.
Industry experts are calling for a shift in the way asbestos-related diseases are handled.
The leading cause of mesothelioma, a type of lung cancer, is exposure to asbestos.
Despite all forms of the material being banned in Australia, cases of non-occupational exposure are on the rise.
Teens have been diagnosed with mesothelioma, and approximately 4,000 Australians will lose their lives to this type of cancer this year alone.

Does anyone realise the family reads these comments? My daughter's diagnosis happened before the Covid vaccination was even a thing. She had symptoms at 14 but took more than a year to get the diagnosis just after her 16th Birthday because Oncologists don't look for this in teenagers. This needs awareness raised.

How about you read all the comments. You will see that her Mother (my partner) commented. Jarni is my step daughter. Come live a day in our lives before you cast judgement. Has absolutely nothing to do with Macca's nor the jab the Jab did not exist when she was diagnosed.
