I have migrain, and the scotoma of the attack benefit almost nothing from the overlap, as far as migrain concern the scotoma is kind of"active" not passive, so it's called scintillating scotoma ..

What do you propose for recent evidence that formerly conversion now functional neurological disorder causes physical changes in the brain? Would that not potentially cause miscommunication in synapses which are a physical thing. How about former trauma to the head in someone who was abused and never had a traumatic brain injury assessed properly so their dominant eye compensated leading to permanent changes in how their brain perceives information?

PLEASE Doctor; can you help? I’ve developed blurred vision in one eye (out of focus) due to the fear/phobia/worry of eye problems I believe - my Optician cannot find any problem. It is more difficult for me, since my other eye (the one I can see through normally) is a 'Lazy' eye, which as you know means that both eyes cannot look at the same object at the same time, and so is unable to compensate for the blurred eye... I do not know if I have Functional Vision Loss?

From what I understand it's all in whether the optician believes you or not.

How are you sure these tests are enough to discard e.g. _organic_ neurological problems?
@Blacksquareable4 жыл бұрын
Do you ever tell the client they have functional or non-organic vsion loss. What about if they ask?

Sir, how to tell if a patient has non-organic vision in one eye who has already lost his other eye due to trauma (HM)?
