We can easily find square root of perfect squares but in case of non perfecr square root like √19 we got stuck. Through vedic maths tricks we can easily find square root of non perfect square roots in not more than 5 seconds.
Short trick to Get √17 in just 3 second
Follow these Steps :-
We know the Non Perfect Square root number like √16 , √25, √100, √144 etc.
Now, we have to Find the square root √7
So, we have follow this method:-
Step 1:
To Find the square root we divied. the number into nearby perfect square number and non -perfect square number like √9-2
Step 2 :
Now put the value in this formula
√x+y = √x + y/2√x
√9-2 = 3 + 1/2 x 3
= 3.16
So solve this and get the answer of under root 17 .
Therefore , √7 = 2.67
so Final answer is 2.67
This method is very easy to find non perfect square root
More example -
√10 = √9+1
√9+1 = 3 + /2x3
= 3.16
This trick is basically from chapter application of derivative of class 12thmathematics. it is a small part of the topic approximation. That formula come after we differentiate the root x by basic differentiation. by this method we can find approximate many other functions like cube root , x raise to the power 1/4 and so on.
These Fast Maths tricks will help you solve the Questions asked in the Quantitative Aptitude Section of the various Bank and Government Exams like RBI Grade B, SBI PO, IBPS RRB Officer, SSC CGL, SSC CPO and Railway RRB Exams. All such exams require candidates to solve a high number of Questions in Less Time.
Square Root of Numbers that are Not Perfect Squares
Remember this formula which is given below:
Using this formula we can find any nonperfect square root.
Example 1: √5
√5 we can also write √4+1. Therefore, 4= x and 1 =y
According to the formula: x is always a perfect square, Like here 4’s perfect square is 2.
Then, √4 + (1/2√4) =2 + (1/2*2) = 2+ (1/4) = 2 + 0.25 = 2.25.
Hence the answer is 2.25.
Example 2: √14
√5 we can also write √16-2. Therefore, 16= x and 2 =y
According to the formula: x is always a perfect square, Like here 16’s perfect square is 4.
Then, √16 - (2/2√16) =4 - (2/2*4) = 4- (1/4) = 4 - 0.25 = 3.75.
Hence the answer is 3.75.

For those wondering how this works, here's an example. 19 = 16 + 3 19 = 4² + (2*3*4)/(2*4) 19 = 4² + 2*4*{3/(2*4)} + {3/(2*4)}² - {3/(2*4)}² Now on RHS, the first three terms form a perfect square identity. 19 = {4 + 3/(2*4)}² - {3/(2*4)}² You can ignore the last term on RHS as we are finding "non perfect roots" √19 = 4 + 3/(2*4) And this is the formula he said in the video. Same logic can be applied on any number you want. Sincerely, an Indian student. :)

The existence of dual, not just singular and plural in Sanskrit, compared to partial existence of dual in Latin, explains a lot. Though I think some people reinvented certain concepts independently and credit should be given to them as well. I would say this what westerners did was they robbed the colonies not only of their wealth but also ideas and culture. They also erased a lot of our culture. Search for Madhava Of Sangamagrama. Hey bro!! Excellent video! Just subscribed to ur channel. This will be a gem for my JEE exam now. Just one error was there. In square root of 19, by Vedic method, it comes 4.375 which is ~ 4.4, and by calculator, it comes 4.358 which is ~ 4.4, so instead of 4.3 it would be 4.4 (method was correct, just it should be 4.4 instead,) thank you!

This method relies on binomial approximation. The method here approximates the root by only 1+nx (where highest power of x is 1), so if you want greater approximation, you will also have to work with higher powers of x (like square, cube, etc). So it is not really an error. It's just approximated. Working of root19- root19=root(16+3) =root(16(1+3/16)) =4 x root(1+3/16) =4 x (1+3/16)^½ =4 x (1+(1/2 x 3/16)) =4 x (1+3/32) =4 + 3/8 ~4.3

this is basically a method which I studied in class 12 That is f(X+ delta x) = f(x) + derivative of f(x) * delta X ->Where f(x)=sqrt of X equation (1) Here f(9)=3 & Derivative of f(X) = 1/[2 sqrt(X)] Then put the value of X=9 in above We get derivative of f(9)=1/6 Put the value of Derivative of f(9) in equation (1) Therefore of f(12)=3 + 1/6 * 3 = 3+ 0.5 =3.5 (actually it is 3.464 by using calculator) 👍
