@@zero38xt honestly i wouldn’t even start 4 right now. That’ll be remastered any time soon. Earliest being next year. I tried playing 4 but it’s just too old for me. I didn’t finish it just so i could wait for the remaster lol. If you haven’t played p3r that i would recommend you do that first then p5r, then smt5v. If you haven’t played metaphor refantazio then you could honestly do that first too

You should listen to some of the Megami Ibunroku Persona PS1 and Persona 2 Innocent Sin/Eternal Punishment soundtracks! They're amazing, but in quite a different style than the more modern games. Tracks like SEBEC Underground Research Lab, City 2 Accident, Bar Attacked by Harem Queen, Kama Palace, Dungeon - Ice Castle, Maya's Theme, P2IS PSP Boss Battle, etc. are all so good.

Not sure if you've seen it yet but both the opening and the song itself has been stuck in my head the moment it dropped. Also for context, Persona 5: The Phantom X is a Persona 5 spinoff Gacha game, which is probably the only downside, but the music and the opening go much harder than they had any right to!

They almost sompletly changed p1 soundtrack in psp rerelease. And it's not that original music was bad, it just sounds different from more known games. I really like Girl At The Window and Black Snow from original p1 soundtrack P2 duology also sounds similarly but its ost was remixed instead. Both p2 games has good music, but ending themes for them are definitely the best: Kimi no Tonari and Change Your Way

You should definitely check some tracks from the dancing games. You may enjoy the P3D versions of Wiping All Out, Time, and Burn My Dread, and there are all sorts of tracks from P4D worth reacting to as well. Btw i dont know if anyone in you chat pointed it out, but yeah, Missions for the Brilliant Executioner is Mitsuru's theme in Persona 4 Arena. Also I wish people wouldn't watch or be sent that particular It's Going Down Now video. The lyrics on screen aren't entirely accurate (stuff like "our hope is hard to break down" being interpreted as "i hold is hard to break down"? doesn't make no sense😂) and I feel like I've seen some reactions of the song that were harmed by that. Yours obviously wasn't affected by it, just a gripe of mine lol

Personally I've yet to play a Persona game -not counting the Dancing spinoffs- I didn't like. As for which cast/story is best, I think that really comes down to one's preferences: I personally loved Persona 5 most because it lent towards noir-esc story beats, social commentary and I could really relate to a few of the cast (who often come off as the more zanny ones to mast people), but like, P4's more 'slice of life/self reflection' themes and very 'average teenager cast are beloved for a reason, and P3's more... Anime esc characters and plot have their own appeal too! Oh! And same for the games' aesthetics: P3 favors a sort of minimalist look with rap, hip hop and Jpop with the odd bit of classical, P4 loves alternating between realism and 80's 'all the colors' visually and the music is VERY jpop, and P5 has that noir comic look with acid jazz and blues all over

My personal motto for just what to expect from p3 imo is it has the highest peaks and the lowest trenches. You have not heard the podium soundtracks for really all of modern persona (I haven't heard the soundtracks of p1 and p2) until you have finished p3. Even then, for one of them, the original is better imo.
