I agree, but it might have too heavy load for mechanical clockworks. Simple (ordinary) split flap clock might be possible I suppose. It would be nice to add to my next project. Thanks for your comment.

General Electric used a similar design about 40 years ago.

Last week I learned that through the comment of Hackaday article, hackaday.com/2024/05/16/non-split-flap-clock-does-it-with-fewer-flaps/ Also National (Panasonic) sold similar clocks (kitchen timers) numbered TE-818 and TE-814.
