Non Stick Eggs in a Cast Iron Pan-Cooking with Cast Iron

Do you notice a difference using a metal spatula vs wood or silicone? What kind of spatula is that, i have a metal one that's very thin and flexible like a soda can. I wonder if a stiff one works better?

@BIGDaddy504 I wouldn't use silicone, because you'll just tear up the silicone and that'll probably get into the food. The wooden spoon did okay, but the metal spatula has done the best by a mile. I like that it's a little thicker, because it makes scraping the pan easy, it's easy to clean, and just overall easy to use. Looks like they have a ton on Amazon for cheap!

How do I get my wife to stop ruining my cast iron. For example she always leave it dirty and wet and in the sink. Or she scrubs with with dawn and doesn't reseason it.

@KneeCaps013 my wife has her own personal non Stick pan and rubber spatula set, because it makes her feel safer. Number 1 thing for cast iron is teaching people to SCRAPE the pan.
