Loved the long one. Thank you.

As a young Sawyer of your age, you are amazing. Keeping all that sizes in your head as you continually work at a rapid pace. Also, I would like to come in the videographer again for his or her amazing work. Take care and God✌️🇨🇦

Nice sawing 👍 The stress trapped in that last log was pretty high.

Can you please make 2 hours video with no narrative/ talking? It can help me fall asleep. Even better if you make video when you burn the rest of the wood as firewood and let us hear the wood cracking. Thanks.

Man!!! Some of those boards are wide!!!

What are those last beams for? Are they 8x8's

Are these boards milled to true dimensions and manicured later?

Beautiful grain!!! Your easing off on the feed rate is paying off. Cuts are clean!
@HelmsburgsawmillАй бұрын
Yes! Feed rate should fluctuate throughout the log!

Do sell wood like this to cabinet and furniture makers?
@rogerhodges7656Ай бұрын
Great video. To help understand how wide some of the boards you cut off of the "big boys," How high does the big sawblade stick up above the belt or carriage?
@HelmsburgsawmillАй бұрын
21.5” off the top of my head! Thank you for the comment though! It’s actually a detail I wish I would’ve included during me wreaking havoc on those big logs😂 because that does help with perspective knowing that

Do you have scheduled maintenance, or do you run till it breaks?
@HelmsburgsawmillАй бұрын
Oh the scheduled maintenance is never ending. We don’t like running things until they break. That usually causes issues with other items😂 there’s so many moving parts

We’re just always looking for stuff to fix

Does your laser identify waste boards or monitor sizes?
@Helmsburgsawmill22 күн бұрын
Not like that. They only tell me where the saws will be hitting. I have gauges and indicators for sizes. And I’m doing the math in my head. I only really use the bottom laser light. If I wait to adjust the top, until I see the light, it slows me down and I lose time

How close are top blade, and main blade together
@HelmsburgsawmillАй бұрын
I’ll measure and show soon. They are offset a tad, and the top saw slightly in front of the head saw, this way the cuts connect without the teeth needing to touch
