That is true but there is a time n place to do this and sometimes it works out n sometimes it does not . Newbies to tuna fishing do not thumb the spool .

Awesome video! Shea what was your rod, reel, line setup? Newbie to tuna fishing. Would that be a good starter?

For tuna under 100lbs Okuma PCH custom rod : 7’6 or a 7’2 XH & Okuma reel: Tesoro 10 or a 12 or a Okuma Cavalla 5-ll. I have 50# braid spooled up then I use a top shot of fluorocarbon which can be 20lb -60lb based on how line shy the tuna are. Hope that helps bro 🤙
