She runs 50 meters in 6.7 seconds, and no doubt is strong at tug-of-war. She must've been a popular figure in physical exercise classes of her elementary school.

@@non-stopnewaza9266 She worships Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki and had a huge influence from his newaza in the world championships 1981 final. If you have time, please create the video analysing the similarity between them. You are the only one who can do it, and I am so curious.

Another important point to be noted is that referees are increasingly aware of Hamada's newaza skills. Recently referees wait and see for a longer time when Hamada is doing newaza than before. It is totally understandable that referees can no longer stop her newaza after witnessing her fight with, for example, Mayra Aguiar at 2020 GS Dusseldorf, in which she finished with ippon after about two-minute ground fight. Even the chief coach of Japanese women team, Mr Masuji, admitted this trend in his interview.

Great observation - I’ve been noticing the same thing. The fight vs Aguilar is a great reference. 👍

Nice job noticing the differences between the coaches. Funny. Thanks.
The video is glitchy af so perhaps try to improve on that in the future, although the editing and your commentary is excellent!

Great debate on Ne Waza. We need to bring back the yuko score and only have Golden Score for semi finals and finals. Earlier rounds should be a decision if it's all square.
Too many times Judo players neglect ne waza and use hope and pray tactics that the ref calls the stand up .As a ne waza player myself am very impressed on her skill and determination to force the position and also to break the mind set that Japan judokas only work to score ippons .She must be a nightmare to train with 😅.

So annoying to hear the opponents coaches (I assume) shouting mate literally 5 seconds into newaza. I feel like there should be fines for coaches trying to influence the ref's decision to directly benefit their competitor.
