"Being, pure being without any further determination in its indeterminate immediacy is equal only to itself." Nothing is also the complete absence of determination and concept. Therefore nothing and pure being are the same. Absolute "awareness" or experiencing a nondual state is an unattainable moment. You cannot say anything or experience this "pure being" without determination (making it finite). BUT we can still recognize the truth that substance is subject and that we are one with nature. The infinite universe experiencing itself as finite subject.

@@lexbenjamin for example in class not too long ago, we were having a tough debate on nurture vs nature. We were trying to find out whether all your personality traits are influenced in a way by genetics or if they were made by the environment you grew up in. I was on the side of nurture due to my belief that personality traits are simply not genetic, but I couldn’t give a clean answer. Also, do you have anything I can do everyday to improve my speaking skills?

If you're going to sway people, you have to remember that they're almost always emotionally connected to what they believe. You'll need to be careful not to offend them, maybe say something good about them or their idea, then you show them where you think they're idea is off, then say what you'd think as an alternative explanation. Ask them what they think of your idea.
