Hi Hector. I have one of the oil suction pumps. It gets all but 2-4 oz. I used Castrol 5 30 synthetic on my first change 3 weeks ago.

Mine didn’t come with the oil drain adapter, so I used a water bottle. I cut the top and back off then cut it in half then trimmed till it fit. Worked perfectly!! I also rolled the left side (opposite of plug) on 2 2x4’s so gravity would do the work.

Great! Thank you for helping me so I don't have to read the info on line. What a crazy place the oil plug! My old Craftsman simply had a spout at the bottom that you turned on and off. Easy and quick. The engineer for this must have gone to a school in Iceland......Best Regards from an ole coot (80 summers) who enjoys riding his "tractor" to mow his five acres.....

Wow you can do five acres with this thing? We have 1.3 acres and I was thinking about selling this current model we have, craftsman t 110 and getting maybe a craftsman t 240 for better performance.

Great job on less mess. For the Lawn Tractors without filters you should be watching how many hours you put on the tractor for the next oil change. Might be in your manule.

Good video. Better than the instruction manual. This also works for the T100. The plastic chute they give you is a pain to use. You can also cut up a milk jug. The design of the oil plug prevents a socket from being used which would be optimal. 12mm or 7/16 wrench will do fine.

Reading online from Craftsman, states 10W-30, but you're using 5W-30. is 5W-30 better or an improvement to 10W-30? Full synthetic really a better way to go and should it state "small engine oil" or "for lawn mowers etc" on it as well... or full synthetic motor oil meant for car sufficient?
@NoneMechanic101 Жыл бұрын
I believe that before I did the oil change. I read from the owners manual.

Changed mine for the first time. I didn't have too much trouble, I didn't remove the harness holder but it's still a pain where the drain plug is. Lots of 1/4 turns before it comes out and like yours, oil got on the frame. I used some brake cleaner and rags afterwards to clean the oil off the frame and also in my drip pan, wiped clean with shop papertowles.
