Listeners! For a fun and useful project, consider writing a National Register of Historic Places nomination for a historic resource in your community! Anyone can write them and they can open up historic buildings for various grants and things to help fund restoration efforts!

So many stories, local and otherwise, are out there waiting to be told. I love how you broke everything down to basic steps. Thanks, Steve!

Writing history, what a great idea. I even have an idea for a topic. I think it will have to extend into December though.

It is thrilling and invigorating to consider such a project. I participated in NoNaWriMo over a few years and the current stance is very disappointment. So thank you for the possibilities of finding a project which is not only exciting but also will require a deal of lovely research. That’s the part which excites me the most.

The Dallas book of Byron's letters/speeches is actually available online. I do have a history degree so I'm not entirely an amateur. But I pretty much am. You can get a British Library reading ticket fairly straightforwardly these days, which will get you access to a lot of material in the UK and the National Archive in Kew is fairly accessible too. It is easier if you live in London in the UK obviously.
