Not the best conditions for such a big amount of fishes. I cannot see any filter there, water should be changed on a regular basis, and if you add salt or medicine it should be already mixed. Maybe they die because there isnt enough oxygen in the water for so many fish, should install a water pump to circulate water , that many fish produce alot of waste that turns into amonia , which requires alot of beneficial bacteria in your tank other wise tank will take the life of some of your fish to create a new cycle that creates beneficial bacteria , , that means you need a big filter to make that water cleaner , and another thing , your water temperature should be correct, not too hot , not too cold , one more thing , you need many rocks at the bottom to store beneficial bacteria on every corner of your tank ,

@briannakelly26 Жыл бұрын
@@RickysFarmAndHatchery guppies don't even need to breed often to get pregnant the females hold sperm for up to 8 months and they surely can give birth while stressed. Some of my females have birth in the middle of shipping and arrived with fry in the bag. While plants can remove ammonia they don't deal with nitrates/nitrites which are byproducts of the food and poop. You can have a really great filter but if it doesn't have the proper chemical filtration and is only mechanical and polishing you're going to still have high levels. Algae is out of control in there as well and they need 12hrs of light a day. Algae and the plants block light when overgrown. Not to mention you're not supposed to just throw the salt in like that. You're supposed to dilute it before putting it in the water or out can cause shock to already sick fish which will cause them to die. Plenty of people have over stocked tanks. This one wouldn't be that horrible because it's long but they are desperate in there to the point of wanting to be picked up and taken out. Also they're tropical fish and hose water is very cold that's another shock to them. This whole situation was just too rough for them and adding a pleco and some shrimp would help clear up the water but guppies get sick when they're too close like that rubbing up against each other. They're not schooling fish and breed very much too often. He could legit split them into three more tanks that size and in weeks have them filled again. So if they're keeping them in there they're surely going to have plenty of deaths and plenty illnesses.

None of that really matters as long as he's doing extremely regular water changes, which is why he was getting a population crash and die off, because he wasn't water changing. The bioload is huge and gets bigger every day. The feedings have to grow and the waste removal has to grow. He does 3 water changes in a year and no cleaning of the bottom at all. Dude probably has 1000 nitrate reading if there were no plants, and the illness comes from crippling the plants when he "cleans" that up. Wouldn't need the salt or the metro if he were maintaining the tank clean instead of treating it like a cesspool. Hell he "should" have a secondary species like a catfish or something in there to eat the dead,so the fish don't eat them and spread disease among them. Problems happen when you reach an unsustainable bioload and refuse to do the additional work and then make a stupid move like reducing plants. In the end he's got a lot of fish, but as far as selling them it's all feeder quality fish because he's not "serious" about caring for them for show quality. Better to do 10% of this really well than to do this.
