My wife and her family stayed here in 1977, maybe 78? Her 2nd cousin was born here. They arrived in San Diego, CA in 1979. Thanks!

We was also in the camp my parents Seven of us four boys one girl Remember a little I was 9 year old Came to the United states in 1980 Ohio celebrate new year just Remembered we had to bring a big Bow to get rice soup wow missed Those days thank.

I came to NongKhai in 1976, stayed in the old camp before the Hmong new camp was build and Lao build after in mid-1976. we went to see movie in NongKhai town watched Bruce Lee. back that time I went to cut the sugarcane for two weeks near downtown NongKhai farm got paid only 20 BATH per day.this is good memory when everybody were young. thankyou.

All I can say is that our Laotian regugees owe a huge thank you to Thailand and wonder when and how should we pay this thank you debt off, please remember Thailand as long as we live. I was in Nong khai refugee Camp too 42 years ago

What year is the first wave of hmong refugees came to the United States??? I don't really know what year is the first wave of hmong people came to United States but we came to the United States in 1976 landed in Los Angeles, California.

That is bad memory for me and a lot of people stay in the refugee camp wasn't fun got robbery By Thai Army we call them (orsor) many of Laotian people got beat up by them Thai peoples some got sale to hall house got raped by those people that is terrible
