I am working on a paper; I need to strengthen my deep beams externally with CFRP strips for shear. Could you explain how to define the CFRP sheets in FormWorks software? appreciating your help.

Hello. If you are using a full, paid version, you may get support from the developers. Otherwise, you need to go through the available resources to figure out. Best of luck with your modeling studies.

@@SerhanGuner Thanks, How to get the paid versiob ?

Dr. Serhan, thank you for your excellent explanation. I just have a question, is possible modeling the same beam plus a concrete jacket around this beam and steel fibers in FrameWorks?

Thank you for this video, I'm tring to analysis a prestressed concrete, what are the values I need to set for the strains (I tried the values in your video and seems not working)?

what if you get an error mentioning that the stiffness matris is not positive definite?
@SerhanGuner2 жыл бұрын
If receiving this error before an analysis starts, it indicates a major modeling mistake such as insufficient or improper support restraints. If receiving at the end of an analysis, it generally indicates either the structure has failed or numerical stability is lost.

@@SerhanGuner if it comes in the moment I run the analysis. can I please send you the model?

Dr.Guner Can I do the example with the free version as well? because I have downloaded it and when I run it it gives me an error

Basic version of the software should be able to do this analysis. Ensure to review and not exceed the permitted number of elements.

how did you calculate STM force specifically?
@SerhanGuner3 жыл бұрын
STM is a 2D truss analysis. You mat use hand calcs to obtain the forces. Computer programs such as SAP2000 also work.
