What to do when the second difference isnt equal like 2,5,11,23 have a difference of 3,6,12 and the second different is 3,6

hi i have a math problem i use your method but it not correct. My sequence are 20, 18 , 15 , 11 ,6 i use your method make a position to term rules -0.5n^2 - n +21.5 and it not correct pls help me out and show me how it can be done
@halfghost565 Жыл бұрын
hi, it's actually -0.5n^2 - 0.5n + 21, so i think you might have just miscalculated when comparing -0.5n^2 to Un
