Please know that there were union and nonunion workers in New Jersey. The difference? the nonunion signed an agreement with the IBEW that required them to meet the safety standards set by the IBEW. Perhaps this other company did not want to sign because it would mean they would have to comply and assure their workers safety and perhaps they would have had to pay their employees a fair wage? The IBEW should not be a marter for this company not wanting to agree to what all other workers must do.
