My take on the water for greenhouses is that it's all for game balance. They work passively and for low initial investment, so the water supply is game balance to make them a bit more work-intensive and not just a passive income generator. I haven't checked but i am pretty sure they will earn you more per day than the equivalent amount of wind power and the work you have to do is to supply water and then load the goods for selling. So i think they're a fair balance, even if i totally agree that thematically i'd just run a hose from a well to them 😅😅
