This is great idea, I'd just do two minor changes: 1. Someone else picks the replays, both of you guess 2. You guess ranks instead of MMR I have no idea about MMR, ranks have much better representation in my mind, maybe because I've watched most of the rank roulette :) I think other SC2 non-players may have it similar. Otherwise great concept. I love that it's "noobs", lower leagues are much more entertaining :) And it's whole games! Yes! You can't imagine how many times I wanted to see outcome of rank roulette.

TW: Zerg tears This game is a great example of why it is so frustrating to play against toss (especially airtoss) on lower levels. You are playing way "better" buts its so easy to loose your entire army and then get rolled over. I was laughing and crying while watching this! You should do a "Pros in Disguise" series where you put two pros against each other, but one of them has the wrong name. You have to guess which player has the wrong name, and who they really are. Ideally it's set up like Rank Roulette where neither of you know the answer until the end.

That was a great game, I play just like the Protoss player does, carriers vs Terran in diamond league is great because every Terran seems to play the exact same cookie cutter build and they blind hard counter the hell out of anything on the ground. If you go carrier Terrans rely on marines to save them and then get shredded by the zealots + interceptors. They can't micro back against the zealots because the interceptors keep hitting them despite micro. Obviously it's not actually a good build in general but it's a great way to just switch your brain off and beat Terrans who are following their Maru strategy cookbook recipe buildorder.

I think this format is bad because games are too boring. And analyzing it for 20 minutes just to guess "how bad" players are gets old really quickly. Rank Roulette was much more fun. Maybe shorten games somehow, or give points based on accuracy for MMR, and how quickly someone responded. So, guess that is 200 points off, but answered after watching game for only 5 minutes is better than guess that is 100 MMR off, but watched whole game. Mby allow guesser to skip through game, or speed up. Noone wants to watch 15 minutes of Protoss expanding.

I was thinking NA server gold 2, tops. But at least the Terran isn't a forum-living IMBA screamer. Good build, up to ... Harstem and Lambo pointed out enough for 40 games to work on. Knowing when to attack and when to macro can take you up to diamond, and now I know that good macro and patience can too. I'm guessing a lot of diamond Protoss YOLO into the tanks. But really I couldn't keep track of the details enough, except to notice that Terran numbers at the beginning of fights looked much better than the numbers at the ends of fights.

I like the game :) Maybe because the Protoss has won. That was not bad, they both did not know a lot about spending money, eco, minimap awareness, .. but they both have built an army and attacked. I think we all started like this, and it is cool. :) Today, with Alphastar, lots of Progamers who know every balance and tryhard best worker numbers and all of this things, ... of course we know that, and we look at this things very detailed, but both players just play and gg. And still, after playing almost 10 years after I quit and just watch lots of replays as I am interested.... it is still good. It was a fight :)

Thank you for the great casting. I think we can learn so much from both the casting and the matches themselves. I wish to point out the APM efficiency from the toss player. Sick storms... The opening stalkers like literally won the match from the start. Killing that medivac with 4 mines shows us how important is to be on the map. Killing some workers was simply a bonus. On the other hand, the terran had a better build order, higher APM, better economy and yet, he didn't spend his money, which is the number one rule in SC. He killed more stuff with 5 marines than with 3 armies. I think that simply rallying marines all over the place from the 9 barracks against a low-spwed toss army could have traded excellent for the terran, instead of losing everything 3 times in a row. I do struggle as well against this kind of toss strategy. You have to prevent the toss player reaching 10-12 carriers or you are in a very tough spot. After that it's kind of like the point of no return. Great lesson for us all. Thank you. Much love

I thought the Terran was much higher than the Toss. The Toss cronoboosted right at the beginning -> straight into a supply block. That was very strange. And to be fair to the Terran: If the 4 mine drop would not have been killed (which was just bad luck) I guess the game would have ended there. Great game, great concpet, great duo - Lambo + Harstem are always fun to listen to!

Suggestion: another cool format would be have 2 sets of possible players that it could be that you’re both familiar with. For example is this game reynor vs Maru or dark vs gumiho? Would be excellent for mind games, because we both know you’d find the one game maru plays mech and maximize banter

Would prefer 5.5k+ mmr games and analysis at a high level, why certain builds work at low gm but not high, etc. it's not very interesting imo to watch games that are just kind of clownfest like this one, otherwise it's just rank roulette

I came straight over from Harstem's video and I was under the impression you were going to be casting low grandmaster/high master games, and I think that format would be better. I'll stick around for a bit, but I'm just not sure how long "pro players make fun of ladder heroes" will stay interesting or if it's a good idea (sorry if this comes off too harsh). When guessing the MMR the guess should be for the players not for the game, because the game doesn't have its own MMR; more that you should be more specific which player you're looking at the MMR for.

I enjoyed the show. I think I misunderstood the format a bit, though. I was thinking all the replays would be of Masters and Grand Masters thus more analysis of specifics would be important and then end with guessing the MMR + potentially the pro if the account was a pro. I believe i thought this because the apology video discussed how folks couldn't distinguish between top enthusiasts and professionals. By reviewing those at lower levels it seems way too similar to Rank Roulette which is fine but perhaps not a intriguing as I had thought. Punishment: They have to play builds inspired by the players in the series. If we were to take the protos here: 6 stalkers into chargelot/Carrier with 10 DTs and a Mothership. And either do the same upgrades or use a wheel to get random ones, honestly it would have a similar impact.

The Terran is like a high level executor of a corporation. When momentum went wrong, he immediately resigned due to pressure from the stockholder board or something. The massive banked resources would be then distributed among investors to prevent lawsuits. The campaign is always secondary to risk management.

I was guessing that the Terran player was Diamond because of his good macro, even though his strategy and micro was off. The Protoss player was easily a Platinum at best given he stayed on two bases and went straight for carriers. That normally shouldn’t work against a good scouting opponent, but Diamond players can often make the mistake of not scouting.

As a huge fan of Husky's BLH, this was one of the best SC content I've seen in a long while. It could be fun too if neither of you knew the MMR, it'd add some extra suspense.

Unless you have already decided, I would recommend using gold scoring. Each game one of you guess the mmr and how far off you are is added to your score total, whoever has the lower score at the end of the season wins.
