A lot of people talk shit on zavala, but the man has been alive for centuries, he's an imortal bald dude, his lover was mortal and died long ago. Also side note, cayde 7 has been alluded too but he left notes after his passing which asked for us to let him dead, he wanted to rest (also it wouldn't really be him just the same face)

Best we can do is bring the last iteration of Cayde, which was made during the Golden Age. It will still be Cayde, just he won’t know anything that happed since the Collapse, and obviously won’t be a guardian.

For a little extra context - he says "how's your sister" because at this point in the story Uldrens (the guy who killed Cayde) sister (Mara Sov - Queen of the Awoken) was thought to be dead and Uldren would basically do anything for her so when she died he went crazy and in this expansion he is 'trying to bring her back' but he was being manipulated by the last Ahamkara (wish dragon) Riven of a Thousand Voices who was giving him hallucinations of his sister telling him how to bring her back but he was really helping Riven get freedom

When this DLC was released a lot of people have the same, negative reaction about Zavala (blue guy), but after new lore in current season of Destiny, looking back at this cutscene it's understandable why he didn't want go to war with Uldren, he lost too much love ones in his past...

People forget the guardian, the player character. Broke a 5 year vow of silence to say that line at the end. When the most powerful guardian in the universe breaks a 5 year vow of silence to say he gonna clap yo cheeks..you know you fucked up.

fun fact: Uldren was later resurrected as a guardian after we shoot out his eyes at the end of the forsaken campaign and unlike other awoken guardians like Zavala his personality didn't stay the same after his resurrection... and he also remembered how he died(since he is scared of the sound hand cannons make) which should not be possible
