This is a review of the Noodler's Neponset
Here on the channel there is a new pen review every week. All the pens shown are from my personal collection, some used more than others. There is also an ink review every week, and the featured ink of the week is also the inks used in the pen review for the week. The writing samples are transcripts done from “Of Men and Numbers” by Jane Muir published by Dell Publishing Co, Ink and was first printed in April 1962. Last there is also a paper review done each week… at least until I run out of different papers.

It is important with this and all reviews to remember I am not an expert. I am just a nerd with a camera and an opinion. I expect my opinion to mostly be wrong as it is just my solitary opinion, make your own judgement and don’t follow group think. There always seems to be some variation of an ink, pen or paper. These are things out of my control and I can only give my opinion on what I have infront of me. If your opinions are different I encourage you to share them in the comments but please rememberI am an amateur just having fun…. Also, me and everyone else you interact with on line is a human on the other end of the computer, they might be having a bad day and your kind words might be the best thing that happens to them today.
All pictures for this video were taken by me, including the background picture which I made or transformed in photoshop and the video is edited on Adobe Premier Pro. Also, every element, except the music, for this video was made by me. The music is from the free KZbin audio library. The Neponset is Stately. The Dixie is elegant. The Konrad is cosmopolitan. The Ahab is familiar and Charlie is a pal o' mine. Love them all.

@@AnInkGuy try the Konrad rollerball. WOW!!! I had to think long and hard about ditching the FPs and just using RBs! Cooler heads than mine showed me the error of my dangerously radical ideas.

Thank you for the review. I enjoy using Noodler’s inks and pens. I have an ebonite Neposet. I keep it inked up with Kiowa Pecan (an ink I discovered through Ink Guy). It’s one of the few pens that I’m always using. The size (unposted) is just right. Thanks for all the reviews!

I bought one of these from Goulet's bottom shelf a while back. It was a bit scratchier for me than the triple tail, but I think I'll need to go back and give it another look after seeing this.

If the nib is scratchy it is always worth looking that the tines are aligned, it made its way to the bottom shelf by being returned so someone might have messed it up a little.

Since I don't keep my ear to the train rail and listen to all the news about everything, I was unaware that Noodler's had made an apology to anyone about anything. Since commenting on anything, anywhere will bring out folks who LIVE to make an issue out of anything and everything, I wouldn't comment on Noodlers inks name changes and Nathan T's apology. I will say I support Noodler's with my purchases of inks mostly, and what I've read, and seen on KZbin interview, I like this guy. He's seems like a solid businessman, and Noodler's inks work for me. Other's may feel differently, but I've had only one issue with their inks, and that was due to a color issue. Nothing to upset the world's current issues and problems! ha! Noodlers pens are relatively inexpensive, and work well, at least the ones I have (Ahab, Charlie and now a Ebonite Neponset). I was just gifted a Rebellion Red Neponset with a Music Nib, and inked it up with some Q-Eternity Black/Blue, (sorry, don't know the current name, purchased the bottle some time ago... ). It works really well. I like the ebonite, never had one, and it feels good in my hand. Thanks to my friend who gave it to me, and thanks to Noodlers who provided it to be purchased. 🙂 *thanks Adam for your Video, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours 🙂*

Eventually I am getting one of each Noodler's pens categories (maybe except the safety pen). I 'll probably try getting a Victory Garden Neponset. Ever since I started using fountain pens, I wanted to acquire a Noodler's Ink FP to try out the flex steel nib. So I got an Ahab (wasn't easy to find one in Greece). And while the flex wasn't for me, the pen as size fit me wonderfully, and the F/M nib was a great writer when I didn't bother with flexing it. I went ahead and broadened the ink channels of the feed with an exacto knife and now I can use it for drawing with varying line widths. I even love the smell, I don't understand why people complain so much for it. My only gripe is that you can't know the pattern on the pen before you open the box.

I had a safety pen.... had. For me I absolutely hated it and got rid of it long before I considered doing these pen reviews. But generally I like their pens, even the Charlie. Good to know I am not the only one that likes the smell of the Ahab, lol.

I would actually get this just for the nib, it looks great. Overall, I would need to get it in a less flashy color.

Originally I was looking for this pen in any of the black finishes, when I couldn't find that I went with this louder pattern that I thought was interesting.

My Black Ebonite Neponset requires 4+ turns to uncap…time for a deep breath ; ] I use it posted, held mid-barrel [large hands] for an enjoyable hour of sketching "every" day. I have forgotten how to write script, so prefer my Pilot 823 as a daily letterer. Thx! Please note the correct spelling of Neponset…it may help your search results.

There are 5 (I think) Ebonite Neponset pens. All all the others are Acrylic. The Black, the Red Rebellion, Shiloh, Seven Pines, Chichamauga and one called Eider are Ebonite. Also, the Konrad Dixie-Ebonite.

I am simply making a review of a pen I own. I have nothing to do with the inter-workings of any company in the fountain pen industry to have any inside information. My simple advice is if you don't like Noodler's then don't purchase their products. I personally go through a lot of effort to keep my comment section drama free and would ask to not have drama introduced.
