Also. Sal and his mom were wounded(Sal)/killed (mom) by a man who was either hunting deer or was some crazy killer. Shot his mom through the lower back and it hit Sal in the face when she was hugging Sal. There was a door that had a puzzle to solve to get that info.

There was a lot in episode 5 to remember. He may not have sought out Sal, which I'd previously thought but if he'd known what Sal was capable of, he may have went looking for Sal to kill him, not just because he was a child.

I personally think that red eyes may be a form of an eldritch horror (a being that has existed before the universe was formed but not a god) which can explain how he was able it was able to take over Jims planet and also have effects on earth so it is not specifically grounded to one singular planet. Most demons can only have effect on earth but eldritch horrors have effects on different planets and even different dimensions.

In one of the gameplays I watched of Sally Face, in the third episode you have to do some weird code and you get an old journal, and throughout the third episode of gaming the envelopes will have journal pages inside of them from Jim Johnson, all of which give details about Evelyn and going to Earth. A lot of details involving the game, so it is a collectible in a sense but also pretty important if you want extra information and details on things. Hope this helps. The tapes help you get a semi better grasp, and same with the journal pages.

Actually, it says in the official Sally Face Wikipedia that Sal was born on Dec 20th 1976, (the actual date is just a guess.) He was around 7 or 8 years old when he had the accident that ended with his mum dying. Not so sure when exactly in 2004 he died though, but I do know that it has to be near the end of that year because Episode 5 takes place in the first half of 2005. I don't know, I'm just piecing things together.😐🤔🤔

I learned that actually, the dog became some demon dog creature and had a GUN. His mother (Diane) tried to save him and her stomach was shot and her stomach was like into millions of tiny pieces, because it was like blown open into trillions of tiny pieces, it went through and shot off Sal’s face as well. I learned this from a KZbinr and I saw everything in the video, the demon, his gun, how his mother died when her stomach was blown open, and when his face was shot off

so while i was at work yesterday i realized something: with other ghosts, there were implied bodies or you saw the bodies. larry’s body disappears and sal definitely doesn’t have enough time (or the mental capacity through his breakdown) to have moved larry’s body on his own. he tells ash “he’s in the treehouse” and ash finds nothing. we also know very well that steve isn’t afraid to show grotesque scenes, as evidenced by most of episode 3 and the multiple corpses we’ve encountered. but we don’t get to see larry’s body. i thought this was interesting because then we consider that sal is dead and jim told him not to be afraid to die while rosenberg told him that this wasn’t his only life. i found this interesting, and furthermore, i found larry’s lack of a body interesting as well, considering his relationship to sal. i am a firm believer that rosenberg or even jim was making larry feel the way he did. whatever happened happened because larry needed to die in order to help sal and fulfill his “prophecy.” this wasn’t a simple suicide. this wasn’t coincidental. larry is being cagey and short about it for a reason. this was on purpose. both larry and sal are tied to this in big ways, with sal being, for lack of better words, “the chosen one” and larry being jim’s son. steve has implied (or accidentally revealed? i can’t quite remember) that episode 5 will be titled “memories and dreams,” which, as we know, is the game’s main theme. not only does it bring in a sense of finality, it’s interesting once you consider that sal is dead. i don’t know what i’m onto (i have a notebook filled with shit basically acting as a theory board at the moment), but it’s something. also: why aren’t we talking about the woman in the vhs tapes? that’s clearly evelyn. did we all forget about her?

sal wasn’t attacked by a dog someone shot him and his mother jumped in front of him to save him then she ended up dying but the bullet or whatever was left of it still damaged his face, hence the mask
