@@simonfalkner1682 I agree. Especially cutting the head of cabbage. It seemed way faster than knife and cutting board IMO. My mom isn't American and her knives and knife skills are about efficiency and no waste. So not what I was taught in HS Home Ec. lol I never grew up on a farm, but I could show you how to butcher and garden with the simplest of utensils. On God. Good food is definitely an all day process. I'm lucky enough to never been introduced to canned fruits/veggies, cause it's just not the way my mother was taught or had money for growing up. This video made me hungry. Reminded me of when my mom took me to her village and everyone was busy cooking for a party. 😊 I don't think some of the commentors even understand what village life is. Or just cooking in general. She's not wearing any gloves? And so what? She's sitting on the floor to cook? And so what? If you EVER lived in a village before THIS was the food you'd be happy to eat. Your neighbor made all this food and is giving you a nice portion. You take it and you eat it and you enjoy. Not everyone in the world has the luxury of a convenience store. Every thing that you see is usually bought fresh from the market (at least from my mom's home). Wash your hands and pick up the food and throw it into the pot. Take the food. Eat it. And enjoy. I know I would.
@rikiforever4204 жыл бұрын
Beautifully said, Midnight! I completely agree. People in the West have lost their connection with food. To most Americans, grocery store food is "cleaner" than homegrown meat, milk, eggs, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. (I'm American) I don't like grocery store food. I raise my own meat, dairy, eggs, fruuts, vegetables, ect. I'd rather have homemade, homegrown and locally grown food over grocery store food any day! I'd happily eat this woman's food and would get so very grateful to her for making such an amazing meal!
