I was born in early 95, and totally look back in the history books where Drum & Bass originated from. From a Carribean ragga dub stylie roots, progressive Hardcore 93 heads to UK Jungle the then ravest and 90s hooligan youth that came along on heavy binges and drugs with their curtain hairstyles and baggy rave clothes on trippy were at these underground Helter Skelter all over the nation with crazy strobe lightening everywhere. From the scene and the era perspective pirate radios, UK MC'ing and the later transition to different genres. This music is very important instrumentally and technically to 21st century British urban music. If it wasn't for the generation of producers before our time we would still be listening to classical. I'm very proud of the nations urban culture, it has a don't give a fuck to colonial attitude towards the establishment and it was rife in the 90s.

You’re bang on there my friend. I remember it like it was yesterday, largely due to being mixed race myself (the uk up to this point still had a big race divide) it was like something I had been waiting all my life for and I was born in the sixties! This track however was a reference to the way the scene was heading, a kind of statement if you like. Nookie obviously had reservations about the direction the scene was heading in. Big up all Junglists. Amen (Btw Paul Ibiza is a black man)

@jackoneout , afraid to say never got to the end of The Breakfast club, usually felt knackered all of a sudden and made my way home to make up some mix tapes from the Pirate stations, could easily have been tempted by Overdose though as i know how difficult it was to accep that the night was over. They were the best days ever and so happy to have been part of this scene.
