Noonan Race Engineering in Spartanburg, SC is well-known for the shop's billet engine work on platforms such as Hemis, LS, V10 Lamborghinis, Porsches, and even Hondas. Now, the engine and machine shop has added V-twin engines to the list, and this thing is incredibly cool, and mimics the shop's core Hemi design. Of course, everybody who sees that gorgeous engine says “I want one”! And then they ask the price. Let’s see then; Billet Everything, so my guess is $60 to $75K. What a beautiful piece it is. I want one!

About 25 years ago I was out at Muroc Dry Lake and I met some guys who took a blown fuel hemi and one night while drinking beers they said to each other "Why don't we just cut off two cylinders and they fit this class. This two cylinder motor put out over 1,000 hp on fuel in a streamliner. It was impressive. I saw many interesting ideas out there.

@@RadDadisRad Obviously if you go for 900 hp. And that 900 hp version probably only lasts for 20 drag strip runs anyway or maybe a few land speed runs.. But a 100-200 hp version would be awesome in a Morgan which comes stock with 60-70 hp.

@@gruberstein no way you’re gonna keep those cubic inches around 100hp, definitely in the 200ish hp range NA and that’s if you can get it to run on pump gas. I’m gonna wager this thing needs a higher octane fuel and will run 210-250hp on race gas.

@@RadDadisRad Who the hell said it had to be a high compression or supercharged version? A normal Harley 100 ci doesn't have to be at least 200 hp. Having a water cooled motor instead of the air cooled on a Morgan may be considered an upgrade and a shorter stroke smaller ci motor could be tuned for any hp needed. I think you'd want something to drive on the street. Not everyone sets out to have their motor making maximum hp. Max hp = max maintenance, not something you'd want for a public road driver. My god buddy take a chill pill.

I came up with this idea 30 years ago. If you mass produced the engine in a mild format at an affordable price you couldn’t make them fast enough. The motorcycle crowd would absolutely gobble this up. Like most concepts that even make it into production it ends up being overpriced and only for those with deep pockets. The companies usually fall by the wayside because of the costs. Just another footnote in history. This happens so often.
