Noori which means light a rock band from Pakistan based in Lahore. The group was formed by songwriter lead vocalist, and guitarist, Ali Noor, along with his younger brother Ali Hamza, who were soon joined by bassist Muhammad Ali Jafri and drummer Salman Albert. Since the inception of the band there had been many changes in the other band members but the only consistent members being brothers Ali Noor and Ali Hamza. Was not less then rock stars back in the days famous in 90s and early 20s kids..

@@paveilmikhail3550 Coke Studio season 1-6 or 7 were national. From season 7 or 8 it was converted to international. Maximum song was uploaded by Rohail Hyatt channel . Thats why we know a little about those season.

Early seasons of Coke Studio are musical Masterpieces but most underrated, produced by Mr. Rohail Hyatt, a musical genius, till season 6. One example is the sing "Miyan ki Malhaar" from season 6, must check it out.

Look for another amazing couple of old songs by Noori named Kedar and Jo Meray. They are also filled with unusually high notes and high tempo. Hands down two among my most favourite. They're older than this song i guess.

Noori is a band mostly comprising (some members have changed with time) of both the singers (brother irl).. They are a popular band in Pakistan but lately they focus more on their individual careers other than occasionally coming together for a one off or a coke studio performance..

@@johncameron All the videos you have watched so far are from Pakistan it was later adopted by India, East Asia, Arab and Africa etc but their channel names are diff e.g. Coke Studio Africa, Coke Studio MTV etc. Simple Coke Studio and Rohail Hayyat channels are from Pakistan. Pakistani version is the original and most famous one. Two channels due to different producers of the show.
