I just told my friend this. She was so stressed by friends and family and their expectations for their day. I reminded her that it’s their day!! Plain and simple and you’ll start to resent the ppl you love if you don’t put up boundaries. Yes they love you and yes you want them to feel a part of it all but it’s the couple that should decide because it’s your union.

Noorie. A thought... Consider investing in wedding planner to assist with venue, options and details. Let a professional be stressed to get both of you your wedding vision. In terms of a venue, no guarantees on venues, or time. Consider search for a better one! Both of you are the focus of this union, so make it easy for yourselves. A wedding is what you create it to be, no right or wrong!

At the end it's her final decision that matters not ours but, since she asked our opinions I gave mine. Tommorow doesn't belong to us nobody knows what it would be made of so, I'd rather make plans that are near than far away. Her wedding, her choice.💛

You only get to do this once (hopefully😁) so make it exactly what you have dreamed of because you will relive that day in your heart and mind forever. If you’re not in a rush, wait for the venue. A caveat of that is that you could probably find another stunning venue and once you have your close friends and family and husband by your side, the day will be so special regardless of where you are. As cliche as that sounds, it’s fact. ❤

Keep in mind that your loved ones are happy for you and simply want the best for you and Treu. Moving into a new residence and trying to make it a home; what can be a demanding profession; and planning for events, can be a lot AND bring on a lot of stress, even with help! It’s normal to feel overwhelmed. You and Treu simply need to do what is best for YOU two! If you are feeling “pressure” from others about how you should navigate the days ahead, don’t hesitate to let them know how you love them and value them, HOWEVER, you need space. Let them know that you are feeling pressure and it’s making you feel stressed. They will understand.

This exact thing happened to me during covid. I opted to find another venue because time is the one thing you can't get back. Although I had a very beautiful experience I would recommend following what gives you the most peace. Which would be a different choice for every bride or groom. Also be open to possibly doing photos at your initial venue for engagement photos or pre-wedding event images. What I found was I really just wanted images in the space which isn't just limited to having a full event there. I would also recommend asking a lot of questions to the venue since it determines the overall experience. I had an estate wedding and the venue was really strict and had so many limiting rules that we didn't know about until it was too late. I hope this helps! Enjoy the moment this is such a special time!

Ultimately it's yours and Trieu's special day. Once you start bending to the opinions of other people then it just spirals into that the entire wedding planning process. Personally when I fell in love with my venue, I still went to see other one's but in the back of my mind I knew I didn't want to get married anywhere else than the one I set my heart on and my husband agreed. Regardless of whatever you decide, it's still going to be the most special day ever, just make sure what you choose is for you both first and foremost!

Decorating your new space, working and planning a wedding is going to be overwhelming. I would focus on getting the house to a point where I feel satisfied then focus on the wedding. Set a date and list all your must haves for your dream wedding. If the venue is one of them I would wait. But definitely go after your must haves early to avoid further setbacks.

have you thought about a custom sofa? i watch a lot of hgtv (canadian version) and one of the deigners i like, Sarah Richardson frequently does custom furniture for her clients. i think it sounds more expensive than it is - i think for sure it would be less than $15,000 and you could adapt the size for your space. if you showed the furniture maker the sofa you like they could make a similar one! or you could consult an interior designer to help! i googled it and it appears there are tons of bespoke furniture business companies in London!

I think it would help if you just sat down, closed your eyes and the first thing that comes to mind, push back or get a different venue is the right choice. Not thinking about anyones wishes or expectations. At the end of the day this is your special day and you want to look back on it for the rest of your life and bot feel any negativity or pressure associated with it. Just follow your gut instinct because this day is about you guys and your beautiful love xxx

Not that I'm married, but over a decade ago, my big fiftieth birthday luncheon was like planning a wedding as it took me a year of planning. If I couldn't have gotten the venue, a friend's Thai restaurant on the date that I needed, then I would have just kept the same date, but chosen another restaurant. The date was the most important as I was planning around when guests could be present. My birthday luncheon even ended up the month before my actual birthday in order to accommodate the guests. My friends leave for vacation in the month of my birthday as it's in the summer. And since some friends were flying in from the East Coast of the U.S. to me and everyone else here on the West Coast, I also wanted to make things convenient for them. So, I put the luncheon in a decent weather month/season in hope that they would be able to fly without possible East Coast weather delays or flight cancelations. I wasn't worried about the weather here, during any month, but more about guests trying to get here from wherever they lived in the U.S. As for folks telling you and Trieu how you should do your wedding, well, just smile, keep the peace, and then do what you two want to do as it's your wedding. Set the boundaries from the start. Or don't tell anyone what you two are planning, like I did with my birthday luncheon, and say that you want it to be a special surprise to everyone. Folks were blown away when they arrived at my luncheon as they had no idea what to expect. To this day, some still talk about what a great event it was. Don't get stressed out over it all. I have a lot of friends who are married, but who set boundaries from the start and didn't end up with drama or uncalled-for stress and they've been married for decades as most married in their 30s and are now in their 60s. I've been to a lot of weddings over the decades. I think that the younger one is, the more stress, due to parents usually dishing out the money for the wedding. But, when one is older, like my friends were, and paying for their own weddings, it was a different situation. In the end, the weddings turned out great and the family members and guests were happy. Try not to stress too much when it comes to the wedding planning and engagement party. Yes, all eyes will be in you but it’s people who love and want to celebrate you! Family and friends will have their opinions and want you to keep your date as planned, but if your dream venue is booked than wait! I tell all my clients DO NOT SETTLE!! That could be an engagement party dress or a reception dress. The other white dress was very beautiful as well. That dress could be a bridal shower dress or just for summer. I ❤ it! I personally would get married but thinking back on my wedding day there is so much out of your control - It will never be perfect. As a perfectionist it made me wish I would have eloped and used the money for a dream honeymoon. Give yourself grace and be flexible ❤

You should ALWAYS wash your salad NEVER go with what packet says. If you examine closer you will find live tiny insects that camouflage! Trust me! I love salad bought too many from reputable shops and have had in restaurants- and I return it's disgusting!
