When I was 9, so 43 years ago I saw a guy catch to this day the biggest flathead I’ve ever seen. It was on the other side of the bridge where the sandy head is. He picked it up to his jaw and it’s tail was still on the sand. He used a silver flasher which was 6 inches long. All the best mate and keep up the good work,

That's sick, definitely still some big ones around there. I've caught a bunch around that 70 mark but nothing like that.

@@matthewmorshead2594 could have been a 5 ft guy. It was big. I’ve seen big ones on the GoldCoast as well. There’s a picture of a diver in the seaway beside one they estimated at over 4 ft.
