Could you do a video on how you make your wood blocks please? I am really interested in learning more about that part of the process

Thank you so much for all your videos. They are very inspiring. I've been too digital, lately and this might be a fun gateway back to some hands on fun. Thanks, and nothing awkward about this!

Yay, I love this! Have you ever tried printing light on dark? If so, what was your experience?
@NooshStudios3 жыл бұрын
I have. It works okay.... I don't love it. Mainly I'd have to design the block to be printed on a darker shirt.... and the black ink looks so sharp. So I just use mostly black.

@@NooshStudios I thought the general rule of printing on textile was that 1) black goes through and colours the fabric itself and 2) white mostly remains on top of the surface, sometimes sort of creating an extra layer

I saw one of your videos on FB and was fascinated by the results you achieve. However i don't have the skill or patience to handcarve something to make it as your die. I do however have a large CNC machine and am thinking i could make a 3d model that i could carve and then use that as the die for the shirt. What i'm confused by (not really) but need you to confirm, is the raised lines which make up the details. Do you hand draw/paint that first to use as your guide to carve adjacent areas away to give you that raised detail look? And if someone wanted you to handdraw from a photo a drawing to use to cut on the cnc could you do something like that?

Hi John, Yes I draw out my designs first before I carve them. I have them like 85% planned out. Some of the extraneous carve marks can't be planned. You can see many videos of me actually creating the blocks on my KZbin channel. Check out the "Carving Videos" playlist. As far as doing some design work for you, I'd definitely like to hear more of what your thinking. It would probably end up falling under a design fee + a licensing agreement. You can email me at ChrisNeuenschwander@yahoo.com if you want to discuss it further.
