The best thing about Noothgrush is that they play aggressve sludge but have loads of 80s doom influence with the dark melodic guitar lines. puts them above most other sludge bands IMO.

Check out PostMortem’s Coroner’s Office from 1986 🇺🇸 Boston Massachusetts and particularly the song “I Want To Die” Okay and do not forget where ya were when you heard that legendary Lp; It was one of the first bands besides a few others like the Melvins or Kilslug doing doom stuff back in the day.
