I believe she is both Norwegian and Iraqi. And that is something I would take pride in. Never mind our small children, who clearly are too young to use KZbin.

Good and reasonable answer! It's sad that people only associate Iraq with war and misere... Hope things will change so that people one day will attribute more joyful things to your country. Peace!
@malenedavidsen795011 жыл бұрын
Her background is both Norwegian and Iraqi. She's half of each. I would guess though that she is more in touch with here Norwegian side as she was born and raised here, and that's just natural. But still, ethnically she's got a foot in each camp.
@robinjohansen613512 жыл бұрын
Her mother is from Norway and her father is from Iraq. That makes her 50/50.

Norges beste stemme, ganske enkelt :)

Just because they picked Al jabri as surname, doesn't mean that her ethnicity is 100 % iraqi. I guess both of your parents are from iraq, that's not the case with Nora Foss Al-jabri. Her mother is Norwegian and her father is from Iraq. And since she is born and raised in Norway, then it makes her a little bit more Norwegian than Iraqi. It's not the same in all over Europe u know! Each country have different political point of view when it comes to immigration.

Her father is Iraqi and her mother is Norwegian!! END OF STORY
@EscargoTouChaud11 жыл бұрын
You seem too stubborn about this for me to change your mind, and I can only speak for myself, but I consider her Norwegian because she's born and raised here, Norwegian is her first language, her mother is Norwegian, as is her citizenship. End of story.

I agree with you, but the reason why she's not associated with Iraq because of what's happening over there for the past decades... You see, Iraqis or Iraq itself doesn't usually get that much acknowledgment worldwide, that's why we take the smallest things to make them big, and that's completely fine. Iraq is not like European countries, we are more like the underdogs. The people of Iraq always try to look for something they can associate themselves with to make them happy.
@EscargoTouChaud11 жыл бұрын
Relax on this obsession about her being Iraqi. Her surname is Foss Al-Jabri; one from mum, one from dad, like many Norwegians, be it Rieber Mohn, Santos Ferreira or Mosedott Salvesen. Yes, I can understand that part of you wants to, I don't know, "explain" her talent by referring to her Iraqi half, but why not just aknowledge that this is a Norwegian girl who's half Iraqi? I don't know if she speaks Arab or has an Iraqi passport, but she sure speaks Norwegian (dialect even) and has that passport

Sorry but seriously the only complaint i have of this video..All you see are all these children being born ..The parents have to know there are only so many children they can support.But even here in America people here are going on there third child..Who will pay the price for all the water we are using and the minerals being dragged from the earth..It will end..The earth only has so much to give and then what ???

Særpreg er ikke det samme som en god stemme. Åge Alexandersen ogTerje Tysland har også særpreg, men ingen god stemme... Nora og Maria Arredondo er de beste stemmene...
